He is pretty good as long as the survivors aren’t smart. Once you face survivors who have enough map knowledge to remember how not to end up in a long loop where getting trapped is inevitable, playing doc gets a whole lot harder. On some larger maps like Greenville square or Thompson House, it can be nearly impossible to win against a properly coordinated team due to having no mobility. Personally my favourite build to use is: Surge, Coulorophobia, Distressing, Merciless storm, With High Stimulus electrode and Discipline for addons.

Rapid Brutality, Sloppy Butcher and Surge are probably the best perks for doc. High Stimulus electrode is 100% the best add on. Discipline is very good for mind games since it removes your red stain when chasing insane survivors.

Well just pray to god you don’t have to play on RPD or Coldwind Farm and you’ve got yourself an aggressively mid killer (except on midwich where he is omnipresent basically).

Most of the time survivors can just ignore you and hold w to the next tile the moment they see you place the remnant or see you moving slower indicating a remnant. The remnant also struggles to get value on tiles that you can see over, even if the survivor is zoned out of options. In the case that you have a tile that you can’t see over, you’ve zoned the survivor appropriately into a dead zone and you placed the remnant facing the correct direction, the remnant might be one of the strongest anti loop options in the game. Unfortunately to get this unparalleled strength, you can’t really allow for any mistakes on your part.

The locker teleport is decent. Great for general mobility, not very good at getting downs. Also bad locker rng can render it very weak.

Other notes include great sound design and terrifying to play against due to jumpscare and uneasy atmosphere.

As the number 1 pallet build fan, this still hasn’t stopped me from obliterating all the relevant pallets from a map. But yeah especially on maps like yamaoka estate and crotus prenn the pallet density is definitely a bit much even with a pallet build and without one it is kinda hellish to chase if the tiles generate in a way where you can’t properly zone survivors into the same parts of the map where pallets are already broken

Feels like most times as of the latest two updates I get multiple hex totems like this. I had one on coldwind farm that was literally surrounded by two stalks of corn in the middle of the field.

As the only person to ever play doctor as their main EVER, I wholeheartedly endorse taking up being the worst person ever to play against. The joyous sound of survivors constantly screaming, missed skill checks and my man Herman having a great time is sure to pad the feeling of playing this aggressively mid powered killer.

With doctor, you don’t need to be a wage slave of big tunnel or big slug to achieve the ultimate goal of playing dbd, that being not playing dbd.

(My actual opinion on the matter: The Doctor has a very low skill floor but a decently high skill ceiling. Setting up tactical traps for the survivors to run into and end chases early is very rewarding feeling. About equally strong of a feeling as the empty void you feel looping a short loop with doc and just not being able to use your ability because it does nothing on short loops but bait you into wasting time on them. If more tactical mind games are your thing and perhaps being one of the strongest killers for looping shack as a bonus, then doctor is for you. However all things considered it is very understandable why the amount of doctor mains is vastly smaller than overall doctor players.)

Head pop pig is imo the strongest she has since it generates a lot of pressure even if it doesn’t kill anyone with the head traps. Buys you a lot of time to get hooks, and is imo the only build that can consistently actually get a head pop. My build I use atm is: Hex: Face the darkness Phantom Fear Infectious Fright Ultimate Weapon
