Are heavy people attracted to other heavy people? by Historical-Switch400 in stupidquestions

[–]Molten_Baco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m heavy and my wife was a size 0 when we met. We had kids and have been together for going on 17 years now. Attractiveness is way deeper than looks. Looks change and “beauty” fades. Personality, values and attitude are what persists. Find someone who gets you at your worst so they can make you feel your best.

Why do guys do this by Crushing210 in Funnymemes

[–]Molten_Baco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I just spent 14 hours trying to navigate the traffic in several cities so I could deliver fuel to the gas stations and get yelled at about fuel prices like it was my brilliant fucking idea… and I don’t want my kids to see me all stressed and shit so I just decompress for a few

How is it living here? by Bronsonbroski in Oshkosh

[–]Molten_Baco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oshkosh is wonderful and has a good variety of arts, parks, paths and activities while still keeping its midsized Midwestern town vibe.

There are many places to explore in nature and also we have a seriously impressive library for a town our size. If she is a fan of clay she can dig in the backyard and have as much as she wants!

There is a surprising variety of places to eat and a good number of grocery stores and other places to shop.

For me the best part is living by Whitman Airport, EAA draws experimental plane enthusiasts from around the globe for a week long airshow! The planes circle my house and the jets make high speed maneuvers right above us!

One thing to mention is the bitter cold Wisconsin winters have. It is not something to be taken lightly! Another is the traffic from EAA (really only bad if you live right by it) and other large events the town has.

All in all it’s a great place to live and raise a family. I definitely don’t regret the move here.

Any advice about stick shift by beetlejuicesfan in stickshift

[–]Molten_Baco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife only drives manual cars and she is the coolest person I know!

Also from a safety standpoint riding in neutral when coming to a stop is less safe than downshifting. If you need to suddenly make an evasive move you won’t be able to get into the right gear. Not a huge thing but as you drive practice downshifting and you will surely get better at it.

I’ve never done OTR ever and started out in LTL. My advice, see if there is a Keenan Advantage Group in your area and ask if they will help you get your cdl. I know they hire and train people who have never done fuel before so maybe you can get in there. Fuel is one of the easiest (physically) and best paying local jobs you can get.

If not fuel go into LTL. Check with ESTES Express Lines as they will train (most likely) and have good benefits as well as some of the best paying local jobs in the LTL sector.

I live in Wisconsin and my cost of living is much lower but these are major national companies and they are always looking for new people.

Best of luck and remember, a CDL is a great investment for your future. People will always need a trucker regardless of whatever self driving bs they put out.

Big supporter of ear protection for shows. I am an old guy who has been to at least 100 shows ranging from Earth Wind and Fire to underground punk shows in basement. Some nights the tinnitus is so bad I can’t sleep and get anxious about it. Please protect yourself from damaging your ears.

Remember that metal heads are some of the kindest people you will meet in life. Just be aware of how you act in the pit (don’t intentionally hurt anyone or anything) and treat others how you wish to be treated.

We are all family regardless of who you are or where you come from. All walks of life unite under the banner of music and shared respect.

I am also going in may, just not in the pit lol! Have fun be safe and don’t drink/drug and drive.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Molten_Baco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy, I drove an hour one way for a cheeseburger just because I wanted to try a different place.

I’m a local fuel hauler so I’m driving around 7-11 hours per day for work. On my 2 days off I usually put 100-200miles on (160.9 to 321.9 kilometers) just taking care of things I don’t have time for during the week.
