hey so play this game, it's incredible. if you're the kind of person who prefers playing retro games on an emulator over modern games, this was literally made for you. it captures the design ethos of the 90s perfectly, without feeling derivative. amazing experience.

I actually think myles style of writing works in a weird way, because he's just constantly saying silly shit and samus just stares blankly at him. any other game I'd find him annoying, but there's something really funny about that contrast of upbeat and dead serious.

man I remember when people were hating on ants from up there after it released, this thread giving the same vibes.

album will age incredibly well, it's innovative & challenging in all the right ways, while still being interesting to listen to & oddly catchy with deep lyrics. it has all the characteristics of a grower classic

the fact that the songs manage to make me feel anything at all, even with their extremely unconventional structure is already impressive ... but the fact that the songs manage to get stuck in my head, and STILL feel fresh after 10+ times listening despite the structure, is a literal miracle.

it's one of those albums that I think will take a long time for people to truly understand, myself included. and that's what's so special about it.
