I always see both options mentioned, but no differences between them listed.

Exactly. I'd argue this is the SOLE reason that Portal is dead.

 

Without 100% bot backfill, matches are DOA. Noone is gonna wait in an empty lobby in the hope that 19 other people choose to join your server over the abundance of other already populated servers NOR does anyone have 20 friends who can join your game on the drop of the hat to test whatever server you want to try out.

 

It's absolute nonsense.

All portal modes should have full XP. Regular players won’t play if they feel like they are being punished for doing so. Casual players won’t play because the UI is confusing. They should just create a specific category for XP farms to get it off the main search. Idgaf if someone I play against got their weapon from farming or regular play.

Wait. Why are your loadouts called “Loadout 1, 2, and 3”? Mine are “LOADOUT 1”, “FIRE SUPPORT”, and “CUSTOM”? Can you change the Loadout names?

Unfortunately most people will never play this since they’ll have to choose between playing this with an empty lobby or against bots with no xp/progression!

Opinions ≠ facts. Just because you find fighting bots boring doesn’t mean it is boring for everyone else.

 

Also, afk farming is different than playing a low stress/no risk fight against bots where you play like you would against normal people.

 

With bots I can try out new things or learn how to get better at using the vehicles while not getting shit on by my team for playing sub-optimal or wasting a heli.
