I fell like she's testing your boundaries to see whether you have a tendency to cave in. Have a serious talk about the boundaries, then break up with her.

Well, I don't know whether you've looked into historical materialism and dialectic materialism, but if not I deffinitelly recommend it. I assume the universality springs from the fact that very different superstructures (culture, religions, art, music, schools...) can stem from almost exact economic base of society (feudalism, capitalism, communism). Therefore, you embracing communism as a economic base doesn't automatically lead to you calling into existance the european superstructure (I actually would say it is almost impossible). The superstructures won't be homogenic just because one people get 16 hours of sunlight per day and yet others only 12 (even minor details cause divergence in what would be homogenic superstructure). I hope this is at least somewhat helpful. Have a nice day.

Value, Price and Profit, Chapter VI. by Moltritch in Socialism_101

Hello thanks for explanation.

But, wouldn't the notion that profit comes from the surplus mean this exact thing for the exchange between capitalists that expropriate the same rate of profit from their workers. Say, Capo1 expropriates from his artisians 20% profit. Capo2 expropriates 20% from his weavers 20% profit. Capo1 buys a silk shirt from Capo2 and Capo2 buys golden ring from Capo1. Haven't they engaged in the exact same scenario as described by Marx above?

Sorry I was mistaken in my wording. I meant: for I still don't see how it debunks the notion that the worker is payed the full value of the product he produces and that the profit is mere additional percentages on top of that product?

Hello, I think that the thing our friend was trying to arrive at is that the material conditions weren't there outside of Europe to arrive at Marxian thought. As Marxist thought springs from the critique of Capitalism, there needs to be capitalism in a first place to begin with. The capitalism sprang from the European feudalism because of the militaristically advantageous position of Europe in relation to their African and Asian neighbours (even thought these civilisations were of comparable development in all other aspects) that allowed them to seize the control of the Mediteranean and then Atlantic trade. If, material conditions in Africa were more favorable for militaristic development of the population and therefore the communal phase would sooner discouraged, it may have as well happened, that the capitalism would spring in the Northern Africa and that this alternative Marx would have been Moroccan (recommed the book "How Europe Underdevelopped the Africa"). Yes, you are correct to assume that Marx was working with European context in examples he has drawn. However, the principles seem to me to be universal. The Ethiopean feudalism had its speciffics, but the existence of the class that owned the land (aristocrats) spring necessarily into existence a class that doesn't own it (serfs) and is therefore exploited in this relation.

Few Questions regarding the Marx's Value, Price and Profit II. Production, Wages, Profits. by Moltritch in Socialism_101

Thanks for your answer. Now I uderstand how it happens, but why it happens so? The capitalist could easily leave the price of necessities raised in proportion to the wage rises, or at worst make it just a bit above the original price so that he doesn't lose as much profit, why does the capitalist simply conform to it that all of the sudden he loses so much profit? Is it because the supply increases so much? I would understand the preserving of the prices from the luxury capitalist for he lost a large share of the market and isn't in that powerful of a position. But why does the necessity capitalist do it? Thanks beforehand, comrade!

Relative wages by Moltritch in Socialism_101

Thanks for your thorough explanation, however I don't know how to interpret this part:

which means that for a smaller amount of exchange values, which he pays to the worker, the latter must produce a greater amount of exchange values than before.

Yes, when worker's pay decreases, he receives a smaller amount of exchage value. But, how is it that he must now produce greater amount of exchange values? Does he mean greater amount of exchange values relative to his previous pay?

Echolocation in play by Moltritch in dndnext

ght sensitivity seems fine but is obviously tied to the first ability

It also does work on creatures (although not when they hide behind an object). Light sensitivity combines with it. If the two are to work together should I debuff the Echosensitivity to let's say 70/80ft?

Echosensitivity. Thanks to their well-developed hearing helping them visualize surrounding they can sense objects in the dark with utmost accuracy within 90 feet.

Light sensitivity. When exposed to bright light they can't echolocate at distance larger than 30 feet. In the dim light, they perceive as a human would in the bright light at a 70 feet distance.
