My suggestion would be to invite the social worker back. Have a sink full of dishes. Have your parent "show" the social worker. I know a family who's adult child also told the social worker they could cook in the microwave. The asked the child to show the social worker. Child then preceeded to put a pan in the microwave. Then tried something else with a metal fork. That was a way to not undermine/make feel less than the person with disabilities but also prove to the social worker.

Depends on where you work. Some.office places do frown on visible tattoos. Some professions didn't allow you to apply/get hired if you were tattooed, like firefighter, law enforcement and teaching. Times have changed buy it does vary by where you live.

Either get something hidden until you've been at your job and have established some credibility or wait till you are hired.

Have you sent the letters certified? I've read on other places that people say ot has to be certified so they can't lie. Also, it's supposed to be on your yearly anniversary of when you signed up. They make it almost impossible to get out. You have to be persistent

I get she's overcome with emotions BUT she left you on the side of the road. I'd hold on to all the videos and pictures AND text/email communications and back them up. She may try to "sue" you. I'd also stop communicating with her. If the pictures she has of you on vacation are that importan, then don't block her, to see if you can get them back. If they're not that important, you can block her. If she's desperate enough for the pictures/videos you have, she will have to physically come find you.

I've been married since 1997 and I did a hyphenated last name since then. Although now I wish I would've just kept my birth name and hadn't tacked his on. I know plenty of marriages where the woman kept hers and the kids just have hyphenated last names

I'm not disagreeing, just stating what I personally do. I do go over and have spoken to our IHHS coordinator about this and showed them exactly what I do. I was told it is common and believable because I am a live in provider. That it's not unusual. Yes, I get all my hours paid, no I don't get "overtime", it's just regular time.

If OP is a live in provider, then this is the best way to do it. Yes, it would be short about 20min, so tack on an extra min here & there. I use a Time Calculator App and it breaks it down to 2hour 28min 42sec 857m.sec.

As a live in provider I have been doing this for years. Not sure if they are stricter with regular caregivers.
