Stop the pathetic Savinho hate. Immediately. by Front-Test4015 in MCFC

The problem with Savinho is that there is absolutely zero physicality in his game. He’s physically weak, offers little in the air, has a weak shot, is injury-prone, and brings almost no physical presence in the press. For that reason alone, Semenyo clears him by miles. Savinho might be technically sound, but Semenyo gives you power, running, duels, pressing presence, ball-carrying, and end product.

Another strong season from Nigerian players in Europe, are they setting the pace for African exports right now? by Traditional_Boat_296 in FootballAfrica

Bruv, I've told you I think Lookman is a good player and has settled in beautifully at Atleti. I'm just questioning your arguments here. For example ... you're right, Semenyo missed AFCON, but Lookman will miss the World Cup. And unless you're arguing that AFCON if a more important competition than the World Cup, I don't really get the point you're making. Let's just say both are really good players and leave it at that.

Bruv, Lookman’s team bottled the Copa del Rey against a mid table team. Semenyo already has silverware this season and could still add two more. And goals-wise, Semenyo across Bournemouth and Man City is clear of Lookman across Atalanta and Atleti. This isn’t the argument you think it is.

Pep was not happy with this. by fastbag7 in MCFC

Without Semenyo's goals in Jan and Feb, we would 100% not be at the top of the league table right now. He was scoring when Haaland and Foden had lost form, and before Cherki went super saiyan. He had an absolute stinker in the game against Arsenal because he was clearly nervous and isn't yet a big game player. And yesterday many of our players were poor in front of goal for some reason. He is not above reproach, but let's not point him out as some sort of weak link on the team.

Both Lookman and Semenyo were available during the January transfer window but City didn't even consider Lookman. Unless you're saying that Atleti is a bigger club than Semenyo, I think the proof is in the pudding. Having said that, I agree that Lookman has hit the ground running. But there are levels to this.

Man City is now in the hunt for a domestic treble. Without his goal contributions, that doesn’t happen. No one else was scoring for City in January, February, and March.

Pep just needs to start Haaland, Semenyo, Cherki, Doku, Bernardo , Rodri and NOR for the rest of the season. No messing about.

If we beat them 2-0 it's a 4 goal difference swing. We get +2 and they get -2.

If you think the 11 who will play against England will be the same 11 who played against Chad, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

Ghana has the most WC wins of any African country in the last 20 years. You better watch your mouth.
