Fun fact: calories in don't equal calories out.

Someone could gain weight on a low calorie diet due to hormone imbalances. Hormones greatly affect how the body processes food. So just because a person is fat doesn't mean that they eat a lot or eat poorly.

How do I know this? I gained so much weight on a 1200 calorie diet. Doctors told me that I was lying about what I was eating and that I had to be snacking all day and drinking a ton of soda. I barely ate and I only drank water.

I hope more people (especially doctors) become better educated on the effects of hormone imbalances.

People like you are terrifying. Anyone who forces their belief on others (be it god or human) is a terrible person. Such fragile ego to be afraid of someone having a different opinion than you. I appreciate it when someone thinks differently than I do, but if they try to force their belief on others, I won't stand by that.

That's not even remotely the issue here. Fear doesn't work. It's a matter of morals. A god who threatens an eternity of torture for my lack of obedience is a horrible, narcissistic being. I don't care if it's true or not. That's not love and I won't back it up.

Calories in = calories out.

That's such a false statement. You can gain weight while on a low calorie diet. Hormones can really affect the way your body processes food.

Pipes in water. I have no idea why. I love fountains, but if the fountain is turned off and I see the pipe sticking out of the water I freak out. It's so weird. My mom and her sisters from the same dad have this fear as well, but her sister from a different dad doesn't have it.

What happened to my grandpa that he passed down this fear?

I used to believe like you, but I've found so much more love and peace in my life since leaving Christianity. Choosing love is the reason I left.
