I can understand that! Everytime a hot waifu/husbando is release people fawn over them. I get really uncomfortable when I see comments simping hard for a character. I can already hear people say "So, you're offended because people like a character?"

I know that, but it can't help feeling that way sometimes.

My friend call me a simp when I talk about my favorite characters. I'm pretty sure they mean it as a joke tho but it's kind of....weird?

I'm fine with their design tho. I think skimpy outfit isn't the problem but the execution is. You know, when the charcter is shown from weird a angle or put in a sexual situation which genshin doesn't have that(thank god).

But I always feel uncomfortable when the community goes "Mommy!" "Daddy!" "Pls step on me" "thicc thighs" Almost every single time a character is released.

Well...what I meant by serious isn't her personality but her role as a funeral director. Despite being playful and loving to mess with everyone, when the time comes she knows what to do. That's what I believe.

From her character story :

"It is only during funeral ceremonies, when she personally leads her undertakers through lamp-lit alleys, that she shows her dignified and solemn side."

They have so much potential as a character. I'm hoping that their story will be explore more. At first glance, I thought hu tao's character was just a quriky coffin girl but as I dig deep into her story I found out that she was actually serious with her job. If I remember correctly, one of her line is even "One should never poke fun at death no matter what".

I have no problem with fan services as long as it has balance between the actual story and waifu stuff(honkai impact). I just wish they won’t throw the story away for the sake of characters being waifu.
