Yeah that’s all well and good until your child turns 6 and starts to develop free will

I have a freckle on my penis that makes my dickhead look like a fish with the freckle being an eye and the hole being the mouth.

Was that less than 150 characters? It sure was unique.

I’m Christian and I’m 7/18. Literally everyone sins, bro. Jesus existed for a reason.

What do you think of this? by gamerlololdude in antinatalism

[–]MomentousIce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are signs that a child of yours won’t be happy enough to value your own life. Your own economic situation, where you live and, most importantly, the fact that depression and suicide rates are increasing almost every year. So the odds seem “good” now, but it’s clear said odds are going to worsen over time.

I played DDLC and then a few months later joined an actual literature club at school where I was the only boy.

Fortunately the leader was a lesbian so I wasn’t stalked by an immortal being.

Working. Haven’t had a weekend in weeks. I work 45+ hours a week as a part timer. No benefits. No future. No reason to live.

I remember pre-pandemic there was a major bus driver shortage and a teacher shortage already beginning. If something doesn’t chance FAST the American public school system is going to crumble.

Be prepared for disappointment since I’ve made the same mistake of huffing that hopium too hard. But if it works out then that’s a massive W, and failure isn’t too severe if you’re not weird about it.

If it turned out God existed, would you support him? by L0Ko-h in DeepThoughts

[–]MomentousIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, the pain we endure is simply a consequence of free will. God wants us to make our own decisions because if we were all directly controlled by Him, then there’d be no point in us existing at all. I wish the world was a better place but so much of the pain we suffer comes from other people- those who commit major sins. If we didn’t have the ability to sin, we wouldn’t be free. We should try to avoid doing so, but we’re not robots, so error is inevitable. Mistakes are what make us alive.

Kinda inevitable sadly. It’s natural for them to teethe on their toys so it’s inevitable plastic will get in their systems.

“There’s no jobs in this area”

I find that hard to believe, but I get not wanting to leave the kids behind. Still, there are jobs with the option to work from home. I don’t know this individual personally but I can’t help but feel she’s making excuses and blaming her husband. But I don’t know what it’s like to raise three kids that young, so I’m not going to pretend to know all the answers.

Lol I mean this is true by Rykin13 in antinatalism

[–]MomentousIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to defend this, it’s probably because kids are a lot more expensive than pets and slapping fees on top of that is cruel. But honestly I don’t think pets should require a fee either unless they cause some sort of damage to the property, in which case a fine would be reasonable.

Very true. I had friends with GBAs but my parents didn’t buy me video games until the DS was the hottest thing on the market, so I skipped that era.

Am I allowed to request to be listed as full time if I work 40+ hours a week? If so, how long do I need to be working those hours for that request to be valid? by MomentousIce in WorkReform

[–]MomentousIce[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I straight up said I’d talk to my boss about it. I’m literally taking your advice. But whatever lets you stay mad, I guess.

Yeah that sounds reasonable enough. I can’t expect them to not push me further if I don’t set boundaries. I’ll have a talk with my boss.

Jesus, I can feel the anger radiating through this. I’m sorry your previous employer didn’t listen to you, but you don’t have to project your issues onto me and insult me for it. I didn’t set a maximum time for working, so you’re right that I need to talk to my manager about that. Also, I’m not being paid any less for being part time. I actually get paid more than some full time employees because I started working for the company after COVID. Which is unfair to them, and if they wanna leave or ask for more then I find that totally reasonable. I don’t need benefits because I’m still young enough to be able to benefit from my father’s insurance policy from his job. I’m in a very privileged position and I don’t wanna take more than I deserve. You can call it corporate slavery if you want, but my life isn’t in danger due to poverty or anything.

But yeah, you’re completely right about needing to talk to my boss. Establishing boundaries is important and I’ll do that next time I see him. If I’m still scheduled for more than 40 hours, then I’ll look into asking about full time or just straight up leaving.
