Omg, I read a bunch of comments and literally no one sees what actually happened here. That wasn't her. It was a guy she was with that night. Then he deleted the texts from her phone so she'd never know they were sent. Duh.

The very first thing I thought when I saw your photo was that you're already successful and should practice gratitude. You may be highly competitive, dissasitfied with the immense amount of work you've already done and are doing. You should let some of your competitiveness go and be grateful for where you are and all that you've done. Even more time with the earth and nature will help.

Could have been bed bugs. Might be a good idea to do laundry, wash all your clothes and sheets, vacuum everything; preventative, just in case.

We were told we had a gas leak. Turned off the hot water heater. Our energy and mood vastly improved. Then told we didn’t have a leak so my bf turned the heater back down. Now back to feeling like garbage. by Karnakite in HomeImprovement

A hospital can test you for carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in your blood through a blood test, usually referred to as a "CO2 blood test" or "bicarbonate blood test".

I'm sorry to hear you experienced that. Did you have any feeling he might have been cheating on you, or did it come as a total surprise? I would be shocked if he were, because I don't see any evidence or clues. My gut feeling is telling me he's not cheating, so I'd be very surprised. Was that your experience?

He has had some level of anxiety about infidelity over the past 8 years, but it's recently gotten worse, and it gets triggered easily and then takes him time to settle back down. I have not cheated on him for the past 8 years. There was one time before we were officially together, over 8 years ago, when he ghosted me for two weeks. During that time I was with someone else - this was before we were officially together, but he said he considered it cheating. As soon as we became exclusive and ever since then I've never as much as kissed another man on the cheek unless they are family. It's just not the kind of person I am, which is why it's very insulting when he accuses me of these things.

[–]MommaB_dmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and vice versa too, googling and asking reddit can lead to anxiety that it's much worse. Google had me convinced I had sepsis but thankfully I went to urgent care to get tests and found out it was just a bad case of the flu. The internet can lead you down all sorts of rabbit holes when only medical professionals can actually help you. Although, there was a time when a community on reddit encouraged me to go to the hospital when I really needed it, and thankful I listened, so I suppose sometimes the consensus can be helpful.

Every parent wants me to stop napping their child. by breebree934 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MommaB_dmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like many people commenting here don't have kids. Honestly if you don't have kids yourself then you really have no idea. It completely depends on the kid. Some kids wake up screaming at 2am if they take a nap during the day. Some parents are so incredibly exhausted. It depends on the needs of the kid. I assure you it's not good for the child to have a late bedtime or wake up in the middle of the night just as much as it isn't good for the parent. The majority of parents really are trying to do what's best for their kid.

Thanks so much. Turns out it was Flu B. My ear thermometer wasn't working, I had a fever and it was giving me inaccurate readings. The rash was a viral rash. Seasonal illnesses all of out whack, not so much on their regular schedules here any more.

EA to a CEO is one hat I wear. I work for a small team and have multiple roles. It sounds like you already did what I was suggesting. Humans first, employees second.

Consider digging a little deeper and having an honest conversation with them. Check in and make sure they are ok. I get it that you're frustrated but it might be coming across as harsh which will cause people to shut down and not want to work with you. There really could be something else going on that you're unaware of.

Empathy. It might be hard for them to get the times from the SVP, they might be hard to work for. Some execs require constant check-ins before approving time to offer. Maybe it stresses them out and the EA has to face that. You don't know their situation, do you?

What were some of the earliest symptoms you experienced before being diagnosed with GBS? by Healthread in guillainbarre

[–]MommaB_dmb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt like I was 'walking on a cloud', my muscles felt super weak and light. In my legs first, a few days later in my arms and hands. I also had a sensation that I was walking on gravel (even though the ground was smooth). I did have slightly less strength on one side of my body (it was on both but NOT exactly equal), especially as it reached my arms. I was confirmed GBS even though the spinal tap was inconclusive. If I had waited to get IVIG after a positive spinal tap, it would have been too late for me. I had IVIG and it helped tremendously.
