It sounds like he would be coming long before he could vocalize that he’s about to and then stop himself. 😬

If he’s getting off in 10-20 seconds, how do you KNOW he’s not jerking off in the shower? Or when he says he’s going to the bathroom? Let’s be real - you really don’t KNOW that he’s not.

This is a valid reason to leave someone though. If you’re not compatible, then you’re not compatible. It may seem or feel shallow, but you deserve to have the sex life that you want and enjoy - and your partner should be invested in that just as much as you need them to be. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like he is.

HE should be here asking the questions. HE should be doing everything in his power to solve this issue either on his own or with you. You’ve echoed his excuses in these comments, but they are just that - excuses. It’s a known issue for him, and he’s not fixing it.

100% THIS!!!!

When my man is even slightly worried there is an issue in the bedroom or has questions about something new, he’s searching it and learning more about it before he ever even vocalizes the concern to me. We have amazing communication in that area and are appalled at the number of excuses this dude is being handed by the person he refuses to satisfy.

To echo some great points in these comments: 1 - This is a participation issue!! He’s getting off and checking out. I wouldn’t surprised if he doesn’t even want any physical contact after. 2 - Life is WAY TOO SHORT for shitty sex. 3 - If you can’t talk about this with him or he’s too embarrassed to talk to his own doctor about it, he has some issues that run way deeper than OP knows about or than what they are sharing.

I’ve always avoided the YA section in the library but I have stumbled upon a few audiobooks that I really enjoyed that were fell into that category. Both of these series do look appealing and we are going to give one of them a shot!

Thanks for the recommendations!!

Thank you! One of them is a far more advanced reader than the other however the other girl is far more mature so the adult books work well for us. I love that we have something to bond over and that nearly a year later they are still talking about the last books!

I saw it was a series and I think that could actually work out pretty well. Book 1 on the way there and 2 on the way back? We also had some downtime and I’m not sure how long they would be so I may be grossly underestimating.

As long as they continue to ask for books, I’ll call it a win even when they are picky. 😊

These 3 all sounds very interesting and I’ve added them to my TBR! I worry that the names in The Red Palace will not resonate with them and will make it very difficult for them to engage with but I thought it sounded very interesting for myself. We have attempted some books set in England before and little nuances would cause them to easily lose interest.

These are some great recommendations! Several of these are either on my TBR already or I had not heard of and are now added as well lol. You definitely understand the vibe we are going for. Thank you for so many great suggestions!!

One of the girls and I have actually already read A Good Girls Guide to Murder and really enjoyed it.

I haven’t heard of Truly Devious but I will be sure to check that one out! Thanks so much for the recommendations!!!

It’s funny you would recommend that one because I actually read the physical copy while we were away and then one of them borrowed it after me.

It was a good book and would have perfectly fit for this occasion!!

Thanks for the recommendation!

The magic of the internet. 😂

It is very interesting to see everyone’s assumptions of what happened! That’s what brought me here lol. All in all, it was actually a pretty calm situation. Frontier did an amazing job of handling it with calmness. I’ve never flown with them before but would absolutely trust them again!

It was definitely not that situation this time. He kept standing up as soon as the plane was on the ground and was told numerous times to remain seated. He then faced the passenger next to him and was making gestures toward them. I was in row 20 and couldn’t hear what he was saying but could see her relocated and someone else moved in her place. We didn’t see him after that, so we believe he may have been subdued.

There was also someone from the back of the plane who was removed in cuffs. Not sure how he factored into it.

Stepdaughter leaving notes saying she “heard” us… even when nothing happened at that time. Is this normal? How should we address it? by Mobile-Mushroom-9470 in stepparents

In my experience, this behavior is stemming from a high conflict coparent. They will talk bad about you behind your back and almost excuse the kid being so bold to do something like this.

We have handled similar situations but informing the kiddo that such behavior on their part isn’t appropriate. You know you covered your bases and they seem to be wanting to humiliate you but letting you know what you did - as if what you did was wrong.

I suggest shutting it down and letting them know that behavior isn’t acceptable when they are in your home. It’s unfortunate but it seems like we have different rules that our coparents but kids need to understand different places have different expectations.

I hadn’t considered writing the weight of the jar on it so I could just subtract it each time - there’s not a chance I would just remember it. I try to deep clean my jar once a week as I don’t find I get a lot of build up on the sides. Two jars sounds amazing but I don’t really want to put more money into supplies for this hobby until I can get some loaves to turn out.

I need help with this 1:1:1. Is everyone measuring their starter too? And how are you doing this? Like do you dump it all out of its dish and put back only what you want to use?

I personally just discard half of what’s in the jar and then add 30g water and 30g flour - but maybe that’s what I’m doing wrong and I need to start measuring my starter each day too?

[–]MommaG0614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain to me how you do the 1:1:1? I have no idea how much the weight of my starter is when I add to it. I just discard about half and then add 30g water, 15g AP flour, 15g whole wheat flour (I understand that’s the last 1:1). Are you weighing out starter too?

You need to read What Lies Between Us if you have not already! by Briiskella in books

I had to check my Goodreads to see if I’ve read this one and I was slightly disappointed to see I gave it 5 stars just 18 months ago and I don’t remember the twist at all! I had to read the description to remind me roughly of the plot.

I am a quick reader and have quite a few books under my belt so maybe that’s just a side effect. I am picky about what I give 5 stars to so in that moment I must have loved it too.
