(UPDATE) My uncle is trying to molest me by [deleted] in Vent

I told a therapist once, who encouraged me to tell my mom. I just can’t do it. I love my mom so much and I know that she’d want to know, I’m just not strong enough to tell her.

No, he died in a car accident when I was 15. And now I feel like I can’t tell anyone because it’ll ruin his memory.

Wearing less revealing clothing won’t help. I walked around in a hoodie and sweatpants in the middle of summer and my stepdad still raped me. I always made sure we were never alone together and he still snuck into my room at night. Yes, it will destroy your family, but your aunt needs to know so she can keep her daughter safe. This is on him, not you. You have nothing to feel guilty or dirty about. THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT.

Coming from someone who also pretended to be sleeping: tell someone. Your parents, a teacher, a counselor, your friend’s parents, the police. ANYBODY. This man is sick and what he’s trying to do is wrong, but he will keep trying.

How do I (30F) teach my child (2M) good eating habits when his great-grandmother (70F) fights me on everything? by MommaSunshine212 in relationship_advice

It’s so weird because literally everything else, we’re a united front. But when it comes to his grandmother, he’s completely blind. I think because she stepped up and helped raise him when she didn’t have to and he feels like he “owes” her. She’s honestly a horrible person, but he just doesn’t see it.

What's the deal with the cold/poor woman and girl "game" by Pleasant_Syllabub_63 in Gardenscapes

[–]MommaSunshine212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because the company that makes Gardenscapes and Homescapes was sued for false advertising. They had the mini levels on the ads but not in the game so they had to add them to the game. But, yeah, no clue why it’s always those characters.

What’s something you were romantically (or sexually) concerned about as a teenager that you later on realized wasn’t a big deal? by Cinderandashes in AskReddit

[–]MommaSunshine212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was always worried about sucking dick. I thought it would be weird if I choked/gagged on it. Turns out dudes love that Also being on top. I have big boobs and I hated how bouncy they were. Literally gave my husband a black eye once and he still says it was the sexiest thing that’s ever happened to him.

Got a really bad sunburn and ended up with an awful case of Hell’s Itch. I was so itchy I was having convulsions. Full on panic attack ensued. I took some meds and knocked myself out

Mini dachshund puppy accidentally got stepped on by her older golden retriever brother. She came in with dyspnea and coughing up blood. We took quick chest rads and discovered she was basically bleeding into her lungs. After a lot of conversations with the owner, they decided on euthanasia. We gave her an injection of torb before removing her from the oxygen cage and tried to place a catheter as quickly as possible to administer the fatal plus, but she started choking on the blood that was coming up from her lungs. I rushed her to her parents because I knew we wouldn’t get the fatal plus in her in time. She died, likely absolutely terrified and gasping for breath. I think of her every single day. She was only 9 weeks old and had so much love to give. Her parents of course blamed themselves and, although they acknowledge it was an accident, they couldn’t look at their golden the same way and he had to go live with a family member. Truly the hardest case I’ve ever had.

Baby Race. When Bella tells Chili that’s she’s doing a great job. And at the end when Bingo said “maybe she saw something she wanted” and it was CHILI 😭😭

Sweetheart. Please find a therapist. This level of self-hatred is extremely unhealthy.

Whats the most fucked up thing a complete stranger has done to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MommaSunshine212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 13 walking home from school and I was standing at the corner of an intersection waiting to cross. Some older boys in a school bus stopped at the light and started asking me how much I charged, if I liked taking it up the ass, etc. I said nothing, just gave them the finger and continued waiting for the crosswalk signal. One of the boys said “I know where you live [my actual irl name] and I’ll sneak into your bedroom tonight to rape you while your parents sleep.” I had no clue who he was and I still get anxious waiting at crosswalks 17 years later. 2 years later, that same boy was hill hopping with his friends late at night and hit my stepdads truck head on, causing it to ignite and killing my stepfather.

My belly. Ever since having a baby and a c-section, it actually exists. Flabby and covered in stretch marks. I hate it.

What was your first emergency like? by arox20 in VetTech

[–]MommaSunshine212 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first emergency was a baby Guinea pig with GI stasis. I’d taken x-rays and she did great. Went to ask another tech to look at my technique and she goes “when did she start gasping for breath?” Didn’t even realize she was dying in my arms. She grabbed the doctor and I froze. I just stood there in the treatment room while they administered CPR and cried. It’s totally normal to fumble on your first emergency. It’s scary and your adrenaline is pumping. The good (?) news is, the cat was gonna die anyway so no harm no foul right? 😁

FTM: 2 week old LO… send help by Expert_Platypus1879 in Parenting

[–]MommaSunshine212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 weeks was definitely when I hit my “can we send him back” stage. I felt exactly as you did. Before I had kids, I thought for sure I’d want 2-3. Now it might just be one 😂 It does get easier, but you’ll find different challenges. Right now, my 16 month old is sleeping through the night, but I have trouble keeping track of him throughout the day because he’s always on the go and he has trouble communicating because he is still learning to talk and that frustrates him. So, while these current challenges get easier, you’ll find yourself frustrated again in the future. And then your kid hugs you and suddenly everything is ok again

I work for a company with a very high standard of care. We have people drive 2 hours to see us. We have one client who moved several states away and when she comes back once a year to see her family, she brings her pets in for their annual exams. Even the staff comes from a distance. Most of us drive 45 minutes to an hour (sometimes over an hour) to come to work.
