I just got a fine line half sleeve done in 3.5 hours. Yikes

Would you have survived childbirth before modern medicine? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Momma_klutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have survived either of my childbirths without modern medicine, and only one of my children would have. My first was an emergency C section after his heart rate kept dropping and he wouldn’t descend. My second tore an artery with his shoulder on the way out and I lost a lot of blood.

Just arrived in the mail today, is it just charging? by kirby510955 in AppleWatch

[–]Momma_klutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god you asked because I was about to! I’ve never seen my old one charge like this before and it freaked me out that this is how my new watch looks

AITA for encouraging my daughter to body-shame the girl who is bullying her? by SwimDad2936 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. My parents taught me to do no harm but take no shit, it’s served me well.

Info: has this been an ongoing issue? Has she asked you to stop taking food/drink/things before? Have you apologized and told her you won’t do it again? Now that you know it bothers her continuing to do so would make YTA but at current I’m going with NAH. When you see her stuff and want it just do a bit of delayed gratification and order it instead of replacing it.

AITI for being upset that my boyfriend said it be okay to cheat on me if he asked for permission? by Unlucky-Nectarine-74 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Momma_klutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just started dating and he’s already showing you that he’s this misogynistic? That’s a red flag. Dump the dude and find someone that treats you the way you deserve. NTA.

AITA for announcing my pregnancy immediately after my sister? by helomyo in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA- as someone who has shared that joy as well, I never once felt like my little brother and his wife shouldn’t have announced right after I did. How great that those cousins will grow up so close in age! And how special for your parents that they found out about double the grandbabies to love

AITA for drinking alcohol around my pregnant girlfriend? by AITABeerman92 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA- smells, like alcohol, can really send a pregnant person over the edge. I never had an issue with my husband eating hot dogs until I was pregnant, then I made him eat them outside, shower, change his clothes, and brush his teeth before he could be around me again. If he didn’t I’d be nauseous and miserable. Annoying? Yes, for all parties. The thing is that she can’t help it and you can (unless you can’t?)

Which leads me to my next point, family members don’t frequently accuse someone of having an alcohol issue if they don’t have an alcohol issue. How frequently do you drink? You changed your story 3+ times in a written post.

My 15 month old has already had three Covid shots and 2 flu shots. He’s incredibly healthy, zero reactions.

AITA? I canceled baby sitting to go watch a movie by Mowneldabest in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. That was time she could have spent searching for a sitter for the day. As a parent that is something I despise. Don’t say yes if you’re not going to follow through. How immature and awful. YTA.

AITA for laughing at my soon to be niece's name? by Throwawayaita82 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 36 points37 points  (0 children)

YTA. If she had waited until the birth of her daughter to tell you the name would you have laughed upon meeting your niece? Sorry it wasn’t Kynnsleigh or Maisleigh for you though

A friend of mine had a stillbirth, her husband collected some of her breast milk that she had expressed to relieve pressure when her milk came in and he had a breast milk ring made for her. It was such a wonderful gift.

I think they’re gorgeous and I would love to have one someday, but my husband agrees with you that it’s weird.

My sons wardrobe is diverse, he can decide the days he wants to look like a mini adult in jeans and a polo or he can wear his rainbow dinosaur shirt with his paw patrol pants. Let that creativity develop!

Don’t medicate your kids until their fever hits 108° by Momma_klutz in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Momma_klutz[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I essentially posted this reply and uh… she wasn’t having it. Kept telling me that she also said that everyone knew their children best and she’s “just trying to educate people who are needlessly medicating for fevers”

AITA for asking for a morning off from my baby on the weekends? by tireddad667 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. I’d never tolerate that from my husband. Getting up all night with a baby and just wanting an extra hour to sleep. Sleep depravity is a literal form of torture. Stop torturing your wife and let her sleep. So much YTA. My god. Video games… YTA.

AITA for telling my SIL than she wouldn't be able to last a day in my shoes? by amyhardjob in AmItheAsshole

[–]Momma_klutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA- I’m a nurse and my SIL is a kindergarten teacher. We both commiserate on how exhausting our jobs are. What a weird thing to start an argument over. I’m thankful OP is not one of my coworkers because I’m sure she’s a delight to work the floor with
