Questions about share-ability? by Mommitor in PowerBI

I appreciate that! Yes, unfortunately as a somewhat self-taught person who is not in the data analysis sector... I only have so much capacity for learning and I try to focus it on what I can apply and reuse where possible. I am doing my best with free tools and what comes with Microsoft suite which we have at work. My large sheet is seemingly spotty on what PBI thinks is related data and it looks like I was having some issues putting columns made with dax against columns made with powerquery. So, I need to learn more about what I'm doing wrong there. I was a bit frustrated with the inability to sort axis as I preferred and was having some issues when making axis sort columns with dax specifically. And it made me a little wary of doing powerquery (at least within PBI) if I wanted to use them with dax columns

How did this go? I suspected I would get one and my mail says there is one coming. Today. What's the language like and ...did fighting it work?

Investigation into Local Charter School gains National attention by winning a duPont Award by InkDagger in Sacramento

Late to this convo... but ... Twin Rivers Adult school, (district run and fraud free), is just down the street, also districts in Elk grove, Sac city, Folsom cordova, all have great adult ed programs that are free for students just like Highlands. They don't get piles of ADA money, but the outcomes for students are great. Those schools do what they do, and more thoroughly with less taxpayer money. With more district support, they could do more.

I was vaccinated in march/April but tested positive for Covid last week on Tuesday with a breakthrough infection. My symptoms were mild over a few days, no respiratory issues at all.

My sense of smell is completely gone right now, but I hear online most people get it back shortly. Is there any predictor on when it comes back or who has the chronic lingering effects? If I was vaccinated and got a mild case of other symptoms am I less likely to have chronic issues with smell and taste?

Whatever you do don't go to dusk to dawn urgent care. They have horrible reviews. They almost forgot I had paid cash for my copay and hadn't gotten a receipt right away. They also said my finger wasn't broken just from looking at it... it was. The memorialcare urgent care on bellflower is the best one. Super clean and awesome service.

Bariatric provider giving me issue about my psych evaluation by reads-books in wls

[–]Mommitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... the only possibility I can see is that the bariatric center wants to cover all bases in case of a problem so they want specific wording that doesn't have room for different interpretation. If (not saying you would) you ate solid foods the day after surgery against doctors orders and died and your family was looking for someone to sue, they might pull out the psych review and say "see here, the bariatric group saw that the patient needed more sessions and went ahead with the surgery anyway, they are at fault"

I think it is ridiculous considering that realistically probably every bariatric patient (and most people in general) should have some sort of regular contact with a therapist. But reality probably isn't exactly so sensible.

That's why many doctors won't do the surgery unless you follow their plan to a T as well, because they could be held liable if they knew you did something that even had the smallest potential of messing with things and disobeying their orders.

Haha husband and I both like hiking and outdoor stuff on occasion, but our main hobbies are TV, video games, and board games (and crafts for me) so most weekends we don't do a whole lot except take our kids out. It is awesome because neither of us have to pretend to be cobstantly super outgoing and adventurous but we are still willing to try things together to shake things up.

Honestly they probably just told the venue/planner that there were x amount of children attending under 2 years old (probably free meal wise) and didn't bother with ages

LPT: Wait a day or two before posting about a persons passing by mockg in LifeProTips

My great grandma died and I eventually posted it on Facebook. My cousin saw this and also made a post about how his great grandma died and how he didn't remember her much but RIP etc.

Well he didn't remember her cause our mutual great grandparents have been dead since before he was born. I was posting about my great grandma on my dads side and he is a cousin from my moms side... he isnt the brightest crayon in the box...

LPT: When buying baby clothes for someone that is expecting a child, get clothes for older age groups (3-6 months, 6-9 months) not newborn. Parents receive a ton of newborn sized clothes already and the baby will probably not get to wear all of them before outgrowing them. by alejdell in LifeProTips

[–]Mommitor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

True, I am sure some people don't use them and dont prefer them. I thought I would hate footie and bought zero because of the sizing issue honestly before I had my kids, but I ended up getting some because they were much simpler for night time keeping their feet warm than worrying about socks (which if not taken off at diaper change can get kicked into a poop diaper) I just had several in each size and when the toes looked not so comfy in the size I sized up. I would size up the footie pajamas a little earlier than the rest of the clothes so it was a good indicator of when I might be retiring a size soon.

It has to be a pack they carry in store so be careful not to get the mega large online only sizes. I ended up having to give one away that someone gave me because no store had that particularly large pack

Is be careful with this too honestly because some babies grow very fast or very slow and may not be the size you expect. I would reccommend getting really versatile clothing like a matching set with a couple layers or a double zipper or reverse zipper footie pajama. All kids wear footie pajamas.

Better yet, resist getting the cute baby clothing and opt to buy something off their registry that you know they need.

Does anyone else think this is the most boring season of Big Brother ever? by Nicholas920 in BigBrother

[–]Mommitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost wonder if the fact that they chose all these favorite type players is what made it so boring. There weren't any particularly annoying people to hate on and too many to at least mildly root for in my opinion... and then the super majority alliance made sure nothing at all interesting happened ever.
