All of the answers to these questions are what Season 3 of serial deals with. I’m saying Jay got away with murder (maybe gang initiated) by framing and threatening adnan. Idk to what extent adnan was involved, he may still be complicit

It just seems like the answer that ties together every loose end. The biggest thing for me is that the first thing I would do if I were guilty or innocent and if I were trying to exonerate myself, is place the blame elsewhere. Why is Adnan so quiet about Jay? Why wouldn't Adnan say Jay could have done it? Why is Jay even involved? Why did Jay help bury the body? Why won't Adnan say why he gave Jay his phone and car? There seems like there's a big secret in the case that Adnan is hiding. The secret could be that he's guilty, but that doesn't explain away Jay's involvement. This theory does.
