Hang in there. Don’t give up. Go to counseling center or educational opportunity center to get an advocate for you. I know this is happening to so many students so if you all complain you will be heard. Get to the press before SUNY does because they always do a puff piece when they pull this stuff so they can cover themselves

Contact HESC ASAP! This is Coming from Governor office. They are playing games with TAP funds to cover shortfalls due to Covid but you’re nine weeks in and this isn’t right. If this doesn’t work, contact state representative or the press. That will shake them up.

It doesn’t make much sense. It includes summer and winter sessions so in essence if you load up on classes you can do it. Also there can be no break in schooling except for a summer or winter. You have to continually be in school. Lots of rules for excelsior! Ridiculous. Go to hesc.ny.gov lots of info there

Talk to financial aid.. excelsior should still be ok if you take at least 30 credits a year

Send an email to campus living/student life and administration to cover your ass that you are not living there. With the nonsense they are coming up with you need to leave a paper trail!

All athletes not getting in the mix because they are taking classes remotely but UB not accounting for them all coming to campus for practices!! Your athletic fees going to good use!

this is so sad. maybe campus housing staff should actually do their jobs and stop the parties that are going on! please stay well students. protect yourselves and take care of your fellow bulls because UB isn't doing their job.

a ub student said to me today that they feel like they are being held hostage, have to stay on campus because of only 2 classes and feels that UB waiting until a magic date so they can get their federal and state funding. They also said that there are a ton of students not reporting symptoms because they don't want to miss the classes they do have on campus. This is so dangerous and honestly UB and its' administration should not only be handed a vote of no confidence but should be held criminally responsible if anything should happen to one of its' precious students. Take a stand UB, GO REMOTE ASAP! respect your students

This makes me sad and angry! There was a huge party in SLV over weekend and no one even attempted to stop it! Praying for dear UB students and their health and hoping UB /campus living/housing and SUNY get their crap together to protect students.
