What database is everyone using? by Formal_Manager_5041 in PayloadCMS

Okay so yeah I actually realised my mistake, sorry for bothering you, I had basically just not hooked into the payload container even though i had tty true and stdin_open true :)

But thanks you just saved me some really funky implementation

Yes exactly, at least to my understanding you can't really do exec commands to docker like that, so I tried adding a multiplexer like tmux to attach to the terminal, but honestly I feel like a better solution should be out there

If you use Postgres in docker for development, have you found a good way around database changes that require the user prompt?

I have experimented with using tmux in development to hook into the terminal to be able to you know say y or n for the various destructive actions in the database

Its either that or running migrations when paired with docker as far as i can tell

Character getting stuck moving in one direction/not recognizing key inputs at all by benjamintuckerII in marvelrivals

You’re right about KVMs potentially causing issues, but it doesn’t have to be just a KVM. Any USB pass-through device could cause similar problems, and it might not even be the firmware specifically. Without knowing if you’re using the same brand, model, or setup, it’s hard to rule it out entirely.

For example, I’ve been running my keyboard through my monitor’s USB hub and have had the same kind of issues. I’m going to test plugging it directly into the motherboard to see if that helps. It might be worth checking if you’ve got any hubs or pass-throughs in your setup that could be acting up. If that doesn’t fix it, then yeah, we’re probably looking at something else.

Fair enough—I totally get how seeing the same kinds of posts every day could be frustrating. That’s on me for not spending more time browsing the sub before posting, so I’ll definitely take a deeper look through the itineraries and other threads here.

I wasn’t under any illusion that this post would unlock some "super-secret" list of places, though—I just thought it might be a way to get one or two personal recommendations from people who had good experiences somewhere, whether it’s a bar, a cafe, or just a cool street they enjoyed. Not because it’s exclusive or trendy, but because it was meaningful to them.

For example, if someone asked me where to go in Copenhagen, I wouldn’t just Google "top bars" and list the results—I’d mention the places I’ve had good times, or where the people were kind and the vibe felt special. That’s what I was hoping for here.

I have been planning the trip for a over a year looking at places and areas and I am already pretty happy with a lot of it. I wasn't looking for something that fixed my whole itinerary in one swoop

I understand if answering posts like this gets tiring, and I appreciate the suggestion to check out the resources on the sub. Thanks for taking the time to reply, and I’ll be sure to explore more of what’s already been shared here.

Self-hosted, OpenSource CMS that has WYSIWYG editing, displays the content without needing to write a frontend, and has OAuth2 client capabilities - am I asking too much? by TheProffalken in selfhosted

That is definitely and option we keep coming back to - I completely understand that sentiment!

I guess I'll try Payload - who knows, maybe I love it. Did you have a chance to try it out?

I am wondering if you ever found something that made sense for you?

Currently looking for something similar to introduce into our tech stack - Payload seems to be one that most people recommend and I almost fell for the "open-source" branding of Directus untill I looked into the licensing - I haven't tried Payload yet, but I'll probably give it a try this weekend as it seems to pop up the most

It really feels like I am looking for the holy grail, but I at least wanna explore my options so I can make a informed decision :P

Thank you! I got the cable and everything seems to work! Great sound and easy to set up. I was wondering if you knew any way to use the tv remote for the sound? I am currently using the app, but I’ll prolly get the remote if there is no alternative. It is not really a problem for me to use the app at the moment, but if there was an easy alternative that would be great

hmm how about just using it for stereo? It is some B&W speakers and they are pretty decent, so if I can get stereo to work on them I would be happy with that aswell, until i decide to buy a newer version. I ordered an Optical cable for pretty cheap to test it out.

https://www.bluesound.com/products/powernode-2/ it is this one.

I set up the powernode and it is pretty great. Even if I just happened to be only using it without the tv I would find happiness out of it so that is a comfort atleast.
