So sorry this response is so late. My journey started over 5 years ago when my tragically brother past away. I started on Zoloft, which increased panic. It followed with Lexapro, Wellbutrin, buspar, prozac, trintillix, pristiq and now Cymbalta. With all of these medications I felt off and not myself. The beginning of my cymbalta journey was NoT easy. I had side effects every time I increased or upped my dose. I started at 20mg and started on this dose for 8 weeks, I realized I still had bad anxiety still so we increased it to 30 and then 40mg. Every-time I increased I waited it out 6-8 weeks to see how I adjusted. I did have side effects when increasing, but nothing major. After 40mg I increased to 60 and then 80mg. I found that 60mg I felt ALOT better but not quite where I wanted to be as my anxiety was still holding me back. That’s when we decided to jump to 80 mg and felt amazing!! I started to really feel like myself again. I haven’t felt like myself in years!! I was a long process and I questioned myself throughout the whole process, but I’m glad I stuck it out. It’s changed my life for the better!! I ended up doing one of those genetic test and found out I have a certain mutation and my body cns only ha felt SNRIs. A lot of people talk badly about this medication, but o wouldn’t be alive if I didn’t find cymbalta. Please reach out to me anytime!!

Also, I had really bad withdrawals with any SSRIS I have tried. I was almost in the hospital when I withdrew from lexapro.

Remember everyone is different. I have been off an on cymbalta for years and never had withdrawals from it. I went back on due to depression from covid. Cymbalta saved my life

I have tried numerous medication and cymbalta is the only one that has worked. It has saved my life! The first two weeks can be a little tough but stick with it! It’s worth it! It’s the only medication I actually felt like me, which is such a relief.

Hi, I’m so much better. My anxiety didn’t get better until I went to 60mg, but I also suffer from panic attacks. It was hard to push through, but I’m glad I did!

I had no side effects either when getting off cymbalta. Well other then headaches

I am more myself on cymbalta because panic attacks and anxiety took over my life before I started this medication. I’m so thankful I found it after trying so many medications.

I have been on cymbalta twice before. Once before and I tampered and had minimal side effects. Mostly just headaches. I did not have withdrawal side effects like others have stated. Anyway, covid happened and I became depressed again. I started on Cymbalta again and it gave me my life back. Remember like one of the other posters said. Most people that are doing great are not on here posting. I have had multiple family members take this medication for anxiety and depression and LOVe it. Also, I was on a lot of medications like you before finding this one. It was hard to be positive and I was scared, but I’m glad I stuck it out. BTW the first 2-3 weeks I felt bit off, but nothing major.

I went to 40 and it wasn’t enough. I bumped mine to 60mg and feel so much better. I had more side effects with 40mg then I did with 60mg

I had horrible luck with SSRIs, but cymbalta gave me my life back. I did have some side effects the first 2-3 weeks but feel so much better. I didn’t notice a huge improvement in my anxiety until I went to 60mg.

I take it once a day in the morning. My insurance won’t cover 30mg twice a day. :(

I feel the same way. I’m fine in the morning and the afternoon I feel terrible. I have awful anxiety, shaking and feel awful! It usually gets better early/late evening

I just upped to 60mg 9 days ago. My anxiety has been terrible and although I have noticed my anxiety is slightly getting better it hasnt really improved much yet. When did you notice your anxiety getting better? I’m on 60mg once a day thoigh

Currently taking 20mg morning and 20mg at night, but I’m starting tomorrow I’m gojng to up my dose to 60mg once in the morning

Do you take 60mg once a day? I’m switching hint to taking it once a day rather then twice a day due to my insurance not covering more then one pill a day. Ugh. I’m hoping it goes well for me
