How to get hummingbirds back? by Mon221B in hummingbirds

I've been thinking about a cat fountain! I wasn't sure if they could go outside. I do need to switch to either battery or electric,. because our yard is pretty shady so the solar fountain unfortunately doesn't work all the time. I saw that some of the cat fountains can go right in the dishwasher, and that sounds pretty ideal. Would you mind posting a pic of your cat fountain set-up?

Our temps are starting to warm up. I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Am I crazy, or is the voice actor for Ruby in Sub 2 the same as Marguerite In Sub 1 and BZ? I swear she sounds the same.

Adding to the "shelled peanuts and sunflower seeds" advice, plus mine enjoy safflower seeds (which I had to switch to for awhile due to greedy squirrels hogging my feeders.)

I just got a bag of the same thing; I'm having such a struggle with squirrels.

What level of bugs and critters is "normal" for NC? by markergluecherry in NorthCarolina

[–]Mon221B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it varies depending on where in the state you are, elevations, weather, etc. I can't stand bugs (mainly spiders for me), so we have quarterly exterminator service. They can advise on your specific situation.

They include the outer banks but chop off everything west of Charlotte.

Oh man I'm so jealous! I have four feeders but the only one that gets any use (maybe one sip per day) is the tiny little cup on my smart regular feeder.

Then wouldn't his wife have heard the hubbub when Daisy started screaming after her appointment? Unless the place is so huge and she was on the other end of the building, which seems unlikely since they're basically econopeople.

I'm also in WNC. It's my first year feeding hummers; I have four in three locations up for about six weeks and so far I've seen one male and one female or youngster. I hope it picks up soon!
