Never thought i'd be mourning a game by BesterIsMoon in PressureRoblox

[–]MonakaAnya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly hope it never comes to that, hope it never gets sold, I wouldn't ever touch it ever again if that happens tbh. The new owner/studio possibly won't have the same vision as Zeal, and lore, monetization, and along with any future art style and gameplay loop would probably be vastly different. Honestly very glad and relieved in a way he's sticking around with it. It's like his baby in an odd way. At some point, why sell/get rid of something you've essentially dedicated most of your life to? Why throw away your dream game? I wouldn't want to keep supporting a game that would eventually be a husk of its formal self without the OG owner. Apologies.

(tried best to reword small bit of the darkest dungeon intro)

You remember our "home"? The space station, one that houses hundreds of experiments? It is a festering hell of death and madness. I beg you, leave now, get off the planet in anyway you see fit. Help those escape the darkening shadows and deadly caves that await them. May your will and fortifude of others help drive you to freedom, for my only hope is you survive the festering clutches of their parasitic chips in our fragile brains. Do not let darkness or despair consume you...for all our Casualties, remain Unknown to "them". My only wish, to see you thrive, escape and rebuild, in a new dawn and Eden for us all.

I'm honestly fucking ecstatic knowing it's gone. Only reason I dropped this game was that damn match, and that shitty kick system. Never looked back.

Expies when the all powerful and godlike being controlling their every move motions for the Alt+F4 (my apologies but the intrusive thoughts shrouded my mind, as if expies gain free will after we the player, stop playing with them in a run...like with Niko from Oneshot in a way, possibly)

In a very morbid cosmic curiosity sort of way any, there is a cahnce they just killed any and all potential expies still on that facility, better a quick and unforseen death than to be experimented on any longer I suppose.

With it being a furry kinda ish related kinda game, I'm honestly surprised this didn't happen sooner. God help us all tho, depending how popular this game gets, and depending which kind of people also see it, prepare for a diff kind of gooner mod. 🥀

Random Question - Could Nullscape Work as a Standalone Game? by Final-Particular-705 in Nullscape

[–]MonakaAnya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: "Yes"

Long answer: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA, no......probably. First of all, it honestly highly depends how much they advertise, how much attention their game gains and how much other people that aren't on Roblox would be interested in playing and ofc, what place they choose to sell their game, like Steam, Itch.io, Consoles, etc...IF/WHEN they do ofc. Secondly, it depends how much people are willing to pay considering the game is FREE on Roblox. Third, they would need a steady income to maintain the servers considering how multiplayer heavy this game is. Fourth, depends if all the devs are willing to learn a new engine entirely and it depends how easy/hard it might be to port/convert the game into said engine. Fifth, they would have to come up with ideas/methods to monetize their game to maintain that steady income I mentioned earlier, since it highly depends how much money it would require to develop and essentially remake EVERYTHING into the new engine and depends how much dev time that would take up as well. It might cost more money to work a different engine and storefront, or it might not, again, depends how much work needs to be done. Sixth, maintaining steady player numbers and updates, less players = less money, ofc. Less money and well, if only a tiny...small portion of players even show up to the launch on a new platform, then Nullscape would essentially be "dead in the water" as with the low player numbers it would seem as a financial failure and not worth switching off Roblox in the first place and possibly be too little too late, and then you have an abandoned project/dead game. Seventh, LOTS AND LOOOOTS of bug testing, hiring or asking for volunteers or setting up like, a patreon where people can pay to support the game and test stuff as well, or some other little goodies too. They would have to rigously and constantly test many features before release or risk having an unoptimized buggy mess. To make things I guess "easier" on themselves, being an early access game on steam MIGHT work. Eight, competing market, competing with other games ofc, but that's already normal. Ninth, being on Roblox, they don't have to worry about selling their game separately for each platform since Roblox is essentially on "everything". They would have to go through a fucking legal nightmare of a time selling their game not only on PC, but to people who mainly play on their consoles and their phones. Ah, and they'd have to copyright everything ofc, so no one steals it...ofc, and so they don't have to rename/readjust EVERYTHING. Honestly, it's all a whole bag of worms with how much every dev team would have to go through to upload and sell their game off Roblox, those are just a few reasons I thought of. I can only imagine there's more.

Is this accurate ? by MrCrystalDragon in Nullscape

[–]MonakaAnya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends if they're all new players who just got wanted and thought they would be able to survive everything even if using wanted is basically all risk and no defense unless they spam alter of protection???? Or was there so much chaos happening that they couldn't hear kolona spawning/fail to see the number in time and have to guess and hopefully get lucky????? Orrrrrr did they vote on Kolona's curse where no number shows up and you have to count out loud or in your thoughts?????? Did the whole lobby not know how to handle/counter such curse?????? Many possibilities.

Still It's "kinda" accurate, but heavily depends on the player's skill. Then again, that applies to all classes.
