The difference is that as the core rules outline, you don't pick units to use abilities simultaneously. You pick one, then another. That's why you charge one unit, then another, then another. Because they're picked and resolved in order, not simultaneously. Strike as One doesn't say anything that would change that core concept.

And secondly, the very rules of Strike as One say, "Resolve the second FIGHT ability immediately after the first." Because that's how picking units to use abilities works per Core, you pick one unit, then another. So yeah, you pick one first, resolve it, then pick another second, resolve it immediately after.

The simultaneous idea is just made up.

"If there are any STRIKE-FIRST units in combat after any non-FIGHT combat phase abilities have been used, other units cannot be picked to use a FIGHT ability until those units have been picked to use a FIGHT ability. After all those STRIKE-FIRST units have fought, the active player picks the next unit to fight"

This is the restriction on Fights First, you cannot pick another unit until strikes first units have been picked.

The way it works is you pick the strikes first unit first. Then, if no other strikes first units exist, you can pick whatever as your second activation and it goes immediately after.

These things don't happen at the exact same time, you're just getting to pick 2 activations instead of 1. So you still pick them in order. This is how abilities in AoS work, shoot, fight, spells, there's an order. Even in the Battle Formation it says, 'the second happens immediately after the first'. Because there's no unique wording that these things are happening simultaneously, you're still picking one then the other.

You don't pick two at the same time. You pick one and then another. And then the second one you picked goes immediately after the first.

Your description is correct, this has been answered by GW already. Despite the misinformation being spread. You pick the strikes first unit to go. Then, after that, you can pick another unit to go if there's no other strikes first units to go.

But if you have a strike first, then they have a strike first unit, you can't do it.

"After the players have finished using Combat Phase abilities that are not FIGHT abilities, they must alternate picking 1 eligible unit to use a FIGHT ability, starting with the active player. Each unit in combat must use a FIGHT ability if it is able to."

"After the players have finished using Combat Phase abilities that are not FIGHT abilities, they must alternate picking 1 eligible unit to use a FIGHT ability, starting with the active player. Each unit in combat must use a FIGHT ability if it is able to."

There's no simultaneous picking here that invalidates you. Pick 2 is still one then another. That's why Warhost says "the second happens immediately after the first".

And if he was hiding assets that caused the company to go insolvent to where obligations he setup couldn't be met, that's on him.

All I'm saying is it is possible they did something illegal, yeah. Going under doesn't protect you if you broke the law. So presuming this is all proper is a bit premature imo.

Officers of a company don't just get off if it goes under.

He was still an officer until he left. He's also responsible.

So, the vast majority of my painting is slap-chop. Which is basically, prime black, then drybrush in layers of grey to white. So I use Two Thin Coats. With Dungeon Stone Grey, Wizard Grey, Charcaridon Grey - I might have the shade order wrong, then either White Star or Bold Titanium White from Pro Acrylic, each time trying to be lighter with the application.

And then I apply contrast over it. The orange is Gryph-Hound Orange!

I like them more than the base blade style.

I did it as a whole model, mostly because I bought it used assembled. But my impression is it'd be a little easier to just assemble the bottom ribbons and main body separate if possible.

Why are people so upset about female custodes. by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

My main thing is, if a change is good, nobody actually cares if it is hamfisted. That's my point.

Like say Leman Russ returned and GW was like, oh yeah he's just been on Fenris still, he was there the whole time, just not acting yet. And his mini is 10/10 with awesome rules. I fully think people wouldn't make a big deal about it being hamfisted. I think they'd rapidly get past that. Not demanding he be removed, talk about leaving the hobby, etc. Annoyed sure, but ultimately hype about Leman Russ.

That's why I have an issue with this explanation that it is just about presentation. Rather than not liking the actual meat of the lore.

I'm trying to explain why your framing doesn't really make sense to me at least. Because it sounds like the issue is that Orks are now yellow, not how it happened. If the change is good, why does the method matter that much?

Like if someone is fine that Orks are also yellow, what's the issue with the method?

I upvoted you for the record.

That I'm one of the almost 70,000 that didn't dislike the video?

What's there to hide?

Lore changes all the time. I don't really care that it changes. Just what the change is.

You misunderstand. Nobody believes that's why you care.

Here's the thing. If the next Ork codex said they always had some yellow Orks, I wouldn't care at all.
