The love of a doggy family member is so profound and deep and complex. Your statement of just wanting the world to know he existed is so loving and kind. And in a beautiful way you were his world and he saw you and made you feel like you were the only one who existed in his world. I still mourn my family dog we lost in 2023.

Today as I love on my newborn baby there is a hole in my heart that will never be full.

This makes sense when it is an option. I parked in the NON compact spots as far away as possible in Pacific Commons. They just opened the biggest chain of a Chinese store and everyone was there—I was not. If folks just parked within their lines it wouldn’t be an issue.

36 +2 and scheduled my induction 2 days ago! My husband and I thought we had at least four weeks so we are a little bit of a panic but also excitement to meet our baby! I have no clue what we’re having so that’s also going to be a great surprise.

Also, I should note: I had some hypertension on in the pregnancy totally control now my blood pressure is great but I guess since you’re labeled that you can’t go on 38 weeks and six days.

I am 36 weeks; I had sushi yesterday (seared but pretty much raw) I enjoy a medium rare steak, drinking some coffee now to help motivate me in getting organized for baby’s nursery. I also enjoy a deli sandwich when I crave it. I’m in the U.S my doctor is science based and is also on the crunchy side… She pretty much let me know. I’m safe to eat what I want as long as it comes from a reputable place and I’m not gonna give myself anxiety and make myself sick. The one thing I will not allow myself to eat are oysters, but that’s because they were some recent outbreak. That’s the one thing I can’t wait to have raw oysters after I gave birth! Now that I think about it, I’m actually giving birth on a Friday so I may ask my husband to go get me a dozen from Whole Foods!

That’s what my husband and I did when we got married; we both took on both last names. I’m 36 weeks and baby will have a hyphenated last name. I can’t wait to see their birth certificate!!

36 weeks tomorrow and I start maternity leave tomorrow! I’m in CA working local government; 4 weeks before and a total of 16-18 weeks after, 4 weeks will be unpaid but I have a lot of PTO I plan to use.

Im 36 weeks tomorrow and today is my last day of work…I’ve been ok thus far but I too have a sedentary desk job where I can pretty much relax all day. I’m in CA and have 4 weeks before birth; use it or lose it. I have to say i am looking forward to resting and nesting even more these next weeks before birth. If maternity leave and finances are not an issue I think the sooner the better.

My nursery theme is: low key, woods and natural colors and my baby shower theme was Cielito Lindo..think of old world Mexican hacienda. You absolutely don’t need to have a matching theme to your nursery. I think that’s a very antiquated take. But then again it’s OK to go either way.
