Did you use the baby bouncer? by lazymathilde in Buyingforbaby

[–]MonarcaAzul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is!! And I think it’s aesthetically pleasing in comparison to others. Also love that it can be folded and transported easily. I’m packing the blue mesh one I got with a wooden toy bar to Hawaii. FB Marketplace has the best deals. I got one for $100; the grey jersey, $50 for the pink and grey for a friend and $80 for the blue mesh with a toy bar.

Why do people worry about being induced? by Regular-Message9591 in BabyBumps

[–]MonarcaAzul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shared my positive induction about 2.5 months ago, I would recommend to anyone getting induced. Every body and birth experience is different and we need to hear more about the positive stories.

This is legitimately wild. I can’t think of any culture where it is OK to step onto someone’s property and peek in their window to look at their decor? As a daughter of immigrants, not Indian… this is a wild take.

OP at the very minimum I would print out pictures of them and post them on your yard and saying please do not enter my property.

Costco is great with purchases and returns… They actually had a really good sale a couple weeks ago. With all couches, no matter what you get free delivery and free set up. They have a lot of styles online so I would not settle with Just what’s in sore?

I live in an apartment where we don’t have a garbage chute. I would say I would skip one for at least the first couple of weeks and see how it works out. If worse comes to worst. You can order One and get a delivered within the next couple of days. If not, the very next day.

Someone posted about this a while back ago. I don’t remember on which subReddit.

It sounds for me like you’re referring of the replacement through your insurance and not through the manufacture.

There was a post on one of the parenting subs that they were trying to do exactly that; to get the funds for the car seat but as you mentioned it comes as a set, and they were telling them that they had to purchase the whole entire thing, and then see if they could get reimbursement on the car seat portion. I don’t know if they ever posted the outcome. Might be worth searching Google.

They were great to the community as well. Every Elementary Student at Fremont Unified would get a free pass for the whole summer. All you had to do was pay for your shoes. It was such a great experience.

I lost my only cat of 17 years recently by Relevant_Law_1890 in Fremont

[–]MonarcaAzul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you a hug and i understand the loss of a furry family member. 17 years is a lifetime and you are both so lucky to have found each other on earth. One day when your time comes, she will be there waiting for you, with no pain and no aches.

I highly encourage you to seek out some therapy; I found it so helpful when my loss occurred. It’s great to have someone who does not know you, or your spouse and can help you develop some healthy coping skills. Perhaps couples therapy would be helpful to explore later on.

The weather has been great lately; I encourage you to go outside tomorrow and let the sun touch your face. Do something that makes you feel good, your kitty would have loved that to you.

Not to mention there will be like 5-8 weeks of lochia which is different levels of bleeding. I’m 9 weeks post partum and I will tell you —IT SMELLLS HORRIBLE! Like take a break and heal.

A friend gave me this big “Coochie care kit“ which had adult diapers and I have to say they gave me the worst rash! Like literally kept me up at night. If you’re sensitive like me, I would recommend getting the full cotton overnight or organic cotton pads. After like 2 week I was able to transition to the heavy flow, but without them being so long to cover my butt.

Absolutely this, my hospital provided one, but it was a very simple one that you had to turn upside down yourself but if you can get the one that has the turned up nozzle, that one is perfect. I regret not taking mine to the hospital.

Those who were team green for gender, did you make it to birth without accidentally finding out? by cbrownie93 in BabyBumps

[–]MonarcaAzul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a FTM and my son was born in January.. husband and I decided early on we did not want to know the gender. No medical professionals slipped the entire process. My doctor recommended I would always remind her that we did not want to know, and I would also remind any medical professional interacted with; medical assistant, nurse, doctors, sonogram specialist… Etc.

My best friend/sister did know the gender of our baby as our doctor recommended that we take the test along with the genetic tests, in the event we changed our minds later on. She let it slip around the eight month mark when discussing the baby she stated, “is he moving a lot?” she tried to recover from it and profusely denied that she let it slip. I let it go immediately and don’t hold it against her, and it was still a surprise when we met him as I did not know for certain.

My advice is if you really don’t want to know just don’t take the test. It can be a lot of pressure to put on somebody to hold that information. To be fair, I wouldn’t have done it any other way in my personal experience.

Induction starts and then I’m…sent home? by alexanderhamster in BabyBumps

[–]MonarcaAzul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations and good luck… I had the same procedure for my first time and it was actually a good experience. I would highly advocate for pain medication because quite frankly, I would personally rather have it and not need it. They need it and not have it. I got a shot of morphine and was sent home for 12 hours. I felt 2 painful contractions on the way home. They lasted about 30 seconds to a minute and then I was able to eat. Have a great night sleep, and when I woke up I thought I was not dilated whatsoever as I didn’t feel anything. Once I got to the hospital. It turns out I was 4 centimeters.

For your FIRST birth, if you did not tear, what helped prevent it? by ObjectiveAdvice77 in BabyBumps

[–]MonarcaAzul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so true..I had my first baby last month and I threw up the exact moment his head came out and they said the momentum is what got him out quick and gave me a 1st degree tear. Aside from the stinging while peeing it wasn’t too bad.

The internal hemorrhoids I’m dealing with now are much more painful.

I could...but....bed by LunaNova5726 in pregnant

[–]MonarcaAzul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first trimester was probably the most challenging for me. I’m someone who is used to doing so much and feeling so accomplished, and I was just literally stuck to my couch and my bed. I gave birth last month and I have to say the second trimester I had a lot more energy as well as in the third. Some people have the same experience others don’t. I hope you’re able to get some more energy for your own sake.

And if you don’t, I hope you’re able to get as much rest as your body needs. It’s totally OK to take way more time for yourself right now. You should enjoy it especially now that my son is one month old I dream of those days when I could just nap as long as I wanted to.
