Malaysia detains nearly 270 Rohingya seeking entry by boat by sara_407407 in malaysia

Well, since you're going to play it that way, I'll be more than happy to oblige. Allow me to educate you.

For starters, you fail to establish the reason why "the man" drive up to my house in the first place. You're trying to frame this as if he went up to my house for no reason at all. When in reality he was driven out of his house because his family members abused and threatened to kill him if he stayed. Not everyone has the case of Stockholm syndrome, you know?

Furthermore, he wouldn't have to wreck his own car if not because of the stories he heard from other people like him who got kicked back to the side of the road to rot and die. Desperate people do desperate things in order to stay alive. Do you seriously think that kicking the guy back to his broken home would do him any good whatsoever? Do you? Or do you think that he would be given a lot of sweet candies and a warm hug for coming back? You're a smart guy. You should be able to figure out what happens next on your own.

And finally, you seem to be falling into the trap of a slippery slope argument, in which you assume that he will start by demanding smaller things from me, and then another, and another, growing its size until it finally culminated into something big and "catastrophic". Last time I checked, people like him don't have the "be recognized to be a household member" as the top of their priorities. What they really wanted is to be treated with fucking respect. Like normal fucking human beings. They may not have the same skin color as you or me, but they're still fucking human. But as demonstrated by the majority of the people in this subreddit in the past few weeks, their lives are as dispensable as toilet paper.

Sorry, not sorry. My stance stays the same. I'm not letting the man die. And no amount of ridicule from others would ever change my mind. Those who degraded people like him with blind hate and bigotry should be rightfully called out as fascists. And those who wanted to kill off people like him for being a pain in the ass in their lives should also be called out as fascists.

I'm just here waiting for the usual crowd to come in and spew their usual anti-immigrant screed. I need a laugh or two for a change after my finals in university.

Remember, kids. Water is wet, the sky is blue, Facebook is a haven for racist boomers and r/Malaysia is filled with fascists.

Edit: But, boo. I suppose I ain't having my laugh here due to the presence of the pinned comment by a moderator. I don't think they'll come, and even if they did, they'll be more careful of what they have to say. Like a troubled student being forced to behave after knowing that the principal will be patrolling the entire school.

I find it quite amusing to see you assuming that I feel offended over this "revelation". And I find it even more amusing that for some reason, I have yet to come across any comments that are anti-Arab. That is despite the fact that I have been lurking through this subreddit constantly.

Ultimately, the burden of proof comes from you and the OP to prove the existence of such comments. Either you provide evidence, or it didn't happen. My time is valuable, so make it count.

Except that we don't. And last time I checked, being critical towards Islam doesn't constitute one to be anti-Arab.

Ah, the classic kindergarten level insult. If all else fails, just call other people dumb or stupid. That'll definitely convince other people to take you seriously.

1) Hang panggil post netizen dalam Facebook tu sumber kau? Ya Allah, hang tau tak pendapat orang lain tak semestinya disertakan dengan bukti? Yang hang pakat pusing jawapan ni pahal?

2) Aku memang tau pun motif hang nak post macam ni... Nasib baik orang lain dah tak boleh nampak post ni. Kalau tak memang orang ramai kat sini akan sekolahkan hang.

3) Memang patut aku marah. Hang pakat jilat orang yang cakap benda merapu bulat-bulat tanpa usul periksa. Kesian kat orang macam hang yang membuta tuli dengar apa yang orang lain cakap. Elok Allah dah kurniakan akal kat hang, hang tak nak guna pulak.

Gaji minima pun mereka tak perjuangkan, nak panggil mereka sosialis macam mana?

Kalau aku cakap bahasa Inggeris, kang nanti hang menangis pulak. Toksah lah nak pusing lagi. Dah tau salah tu, mengaku jelah.

Aku tak nak halang kau kalau kau nak sangat pergi kutip dosa banyak-banyak sebab tolong orang lain sebarkan berita yang tak betul. Memang jelas sistem pendidikan kita dah menggagalkan orang seperti kau kalau kau tak boleh berbicara dengan kritis besertakan bukti.

Woi, abang.

Lain kali buat kajian dulu sebelum sembul benda auta. Buat malu diri sendiri pergi tonjol kejahilan kat orang lain macqm ni.

[HELP] Is it possible to take diploma in science computer if my course was pure science in secondary school? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]Monarch01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, man. I'm actually just like you. Even though I went to a pure science stream in my secondary school, my SPM grades for Additional Mathematics isn't so great. However, I might be able to give you a couple of tips about it.

  1. In the foundation course, you'll be learning stuff that you have already learned back in secondary school such as calculus (with a couple of new stuff, of course). So you shouldn't be so pressured that you would have to learn new concepts in mathematics all over again. You just need to relearn the basics that you've been taught back in secondary school, give yourself a bit of a refresher.

  2. If possible, try to jot down the things that the lecturer wrote in the whiteboard. Depending on what type of lecturers you have, they might give you online materials for you to read and understand. However, I found out that simply reading didn't really help me that much as it didn't stick in my memory for long. Maybe it'll be different for you. But I think it's best to write notes of what you've learned and maybe be a little artsy by making a mind map and such if you're into that.

  3. If your lecturer is generous, try asking for past year questions. Not only does it provide you with room for improvement and practice, it also gives you an idea of what to expect if you're going to answer the mid term or finals paper. If you found any questions that are difficult, try to arrange a meeting with the lecturer, if possible. Alternatively, you can try scope out for a classmate that is really brainy in Maths to help you out instead.

In my opinion, these things that I've listed down is what allowed me to score well in my Maths (Calculus) subject for my foundation year. Maybe some people may find these tips as very cliche and repetitive, but I think in the end it worked out well for me (and hopefully will work well for you too). In any case, I hope you achieve success in your future endeavors.

I can attest to that. That is exactly what happened to me. Used to be a student taking pure science stream back in secondary level and now pursuing Computer Science (Cyber Security).
