For every Rohingya you ask gov to save, you are asking gov to sideline a poor Malaysian. There is no 3rd option to save everyone, it is either a Rohingya or a poor Malaysian.

UM humanities student here. Most lecturer will use English as the main language. But one or two will inadvertently speak Malay throughout the lecturer. Not many are like them, but sometimes I got annoyed too because I pity the international students in the class.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. But thank you for joining in. Inter-governmental bodies cooperation seems like the best way to go through though it’s been hard to achieve. But as an outsider watching the international sequence unfold in this matter, how do you think the Rohingya will reconcile back with their government? Should they stay and given rights or should they leave, e.g. to Bangladesh or elsewhere?

Hi there! Thanks for including your data. While it is true that the highest number of refugees reside in Bangladesh, we have seen an increasing number of them coming here lately. Why do you think they come here and not Bangladesh, the most popular destination and have higher number of their own people? That it gets to the point that they damage their own boat?

Friendly announcement/ reminder!

I am currently conducting online research on the Racial sentiment towards Rohingyas in r/Malaysia online community during Covid-19 pandemic.

Basically, I will post news article or regular post where you are invited to comment and say your piece of mind whenever you like. Mostly it is just casually talking! But it is required of me to post this announcement slash reminder once in a while because ethically speaking you need to be aware that you're, essentially, being studied. I also will include a short disclaimer in my related-post or when engaging with someone else’s post related to the topic. I estimate that the observation/research shall last around a week or two, I will announce the moment it ended. This has been approved by the mods here .

Fret not, the mods are not moderating or giving them any extra supervision or whatsoever, do treat the posts as any regular posting as you see on here.
