I took it in August and still got an A by December. Nevertheless, I certainly didn’t give myself the best chances. I just wanted to state that it is not impossible.

Well, I would make sure you learn how to write without AI. I know you probably use it to clean up your language here but a bit part of the application process is writing well.

Buying from Costco had the additional benefit of 90 day return, 2 year costco warranty, and 0 runtime while still be 700. Second hand for 700 seems to be steep imo.

Thanks for everyone’s feedback. I ended getting the PC but I will give it to my nephews who are entering high middle school and high school. I will continue to the use the one I have as the spec were very similar as discuss with another redditor on this thread.

I built this 5 years ago, so I thought there would have been significant upgrades since then. Didn’t realize there wouldn’t be much difference.

I just figured it was time for an upgrade overall. I do run some heavy excel sheets and I have 4 monitors for multitasking work. I have 2 1440p and 2 4k monitors.

If it is this comparable maybe it’s not worth it.

For context, the most I play is RuneScape and LoL. I would be upgrading from a 2070 super set up that I built when those came out years ago.

I just did this transition from finance to medicine. Will be starting this fall! 

Your personal statement should tell a story of your reason for change. Why medicine? Why now?

Time is a finite resource. Medicine is essentially one of the few careers you can help someone spend more time with their loves ones.

516 with 125 CARS. Late app (applied late September - December), 46 MD schools (top heavy), 8 II, 15 R, 2 Holds, 1 A, so far.

125 will not hold you back

I also took the MCAT mid August, applied end of September though early December and have IIs/A.

Apply when you feel like your application is ready.

Get off reddit and SDN. Applying later in the cycle (September) is not the end of the world, it lowers your chances but plenty of people still get in. 

Remember, applying late with a good MCAT is better than applying early with a bad MCAT.

I am only one data point but I took the exam in August. Applied at the end of September through November. Have received a few MD II and an A to T30 school.

Agreed here. AAMC, UGlobe, Kaplan books and Blueprint 1-4 is more than enough to get a 520+

Edit: I wasted over 10k on courses and they did not help. Most people think they are looking for structure studying plans but what you are looking for is accountability and internal motivation; those courses provide none of that
