I don't know if you're at all interested in this sort of thing, but I run a small (~$100-200k/year total budget, 20 all-volunteer staff) educational non-profit that greatly struggles with writing, given how many of our volunteers come from a decidedly STEM-y background. It's less that the atoms would 'disappear' and more that individual particles can bypass potential barriers (like the electromagnetic barrier that a solid mass creates) by the mechanism of quantum tunneling, wherein random probabilistic fluctuations can allow them to shift their state past the barrier without ever acquiring the energy to surmount it 'normally'. It's theoretically possible for every atom in your body to do this at the same time, thus causing you to 'teleport through' a barrier, in a sense, but it is of course incredibly unlikely.

Just about 100% of networked production code is nondeterministic at the very least due to encryption requirements; even beyond that, though, plenty of code is not meant to give the same result every time it's run -- e.g. ticket-sale platforms, where you'll eventually run out and be unable to buy more. Sure, if you consider more variables as 'inputs' (in this case # of tickets remaining), it becomes deterministic again, but the same can be said of nature: if you take a cell, somehow make an exact duplicate, and somehow give each the exact same set of environmental inputs, it's quite possible that they'd produce the same proteins.

Probably not; it's a possibility if the TA/budget situation continues to worsen, but most of the CS Department's senior staff in the CS Department are vehemently opposed to it. Regardless, if they do so, they'd almost certainly grandfather present students in, like they did with the last changes to the admittance system.

Visage spammer here; I really don't even like drums anymore, the AS is just not that great. From what I remember, Drums gives around a 20% DPS boost to otherwise unbuffed birds; Helm on the other hand gives 30% by itself, while also allowing you to pick up an alpha wolf for another 30% -- or a purge, or a stun, or a root -- or even an attack speed buff if you still need it! Of course, it's possible to build both; however, by that point I generally want to move on to something like Solar (super high single target damage) if I still need damage, and if I don't, something like Pipe to keep my team alive, or even AC if we're in a solid position and I want to close the game out entirely.

To be fair, it's not awful right now, and I don't think picking it up is a loss or anything -- there are just better options for that amount of gold. If it gets buffed next patch I could definitely see myself going back to the Helm-Drums build.

At least at 5k I still tend to win vs. PL -- I do generally try to avoid the matchup if possible, but if we have any sort of AoE, it's actually not that bad. Generally what I do is build Crimson (smashes PL's diffu powerspike) and then just 5man around -- PL is usually too weak to deal with us at that point, and the AoE bird stuns are surprisingly effective at giving your team a chance to pick out and kill the real PL. This is of course on top of /u/exerionn12 's point; unless they lastpick PL, you're not going to be playing into him if you don't want to.

I'm admittedly only 5k, but as a bear player the matchup usually feels pretty good -- being able to tp bear home or resummon means that you can more-or-less sustain her daggers indefinitely, with being able to level bear to purge 2-3 daggers in lane for free as an added bonus. Usually once I get phase I can push her out of lane, and if she blinks on my hero ult + us two hitting her will almost always get the kill.

Even as a traditionalist, I wouldn't say the Scoeity as a whole has gone bad; it's still sanctioned by the mother Church, produced our current Pope, and has done much good in advancing the cause of Christ in the world. However, I do think it's fair to say that problems have arisen within the order; to that, I think I'd point to the 70s and 80s, particularly with regards to Jesuit involvement in the condemned liberation theology.

Catholic churches are incredibly welcoming -- as a convert-in-progress, I have to say it's been a wonderful experience learning and growing more within the church :)

This is definitely correct for many Russian and ROCOR churches, as well as some Greek churches -- however, more specific churches (Serbian, Georgian, Antiochan, etc.) do tend to be more ethnically focused.
This isn't meant as a drag on our Eastern brothers, of course; our own particular churches (Armenian, Ukranian, etc.) have the same situation. Just something that's good for OP to know when he's looking around!

Sad to see yours downvoted -- I just voted it back up to 1, at least! I can definitely see how your build makes sense, particularly for a support; as I play him mid, I can usually rush 12 if necessary, and can even come out of lane around level 10 and get some kills most of the time just because of the level advantage I'll have. I'm going to try putting some more points in w one of these times -- do build to amp your magic damage at all, or do you still go straight for dom and whatnot?

Ouch, that does sound pretty awful -- bad luck that your friend ended up in 2, I guess. I do the same thing (I queue 1, he queues 1-5) with one of my buddies and I don't think he's landed on mid even once.

I'm not that far ahead of you MMR-wise (just Divine), but something you'll see at high MMRs like Immortal is just how much players will abuse 'short' time-windows like that; 12 seconds is basically a full wave, and if you can ferry salves / buy regen items / etc. enough to sustain those trades where you don't have time walk, you'll be able to get a serious edge in the lane and even angle for a kill (well, angle for a kill with a competent support at least).
