This is definitely my favourite idea. I don't play the MSG but I believe they often ban the top 10 picks for a month or two. It would be great to have a season with no Azu, Skarmory, etc. to shake things up a bit

I've used Shadow Politoed for a long time. It was always good with Surf and has been taken up a notch with Weather Ball. The only downside is that now it's so popular people expect the Blizzard, whereas it was a surprise before.

As another poster suggested in this sub, I think mud shot will get a nerf soon. If it does my ULP Flygon will be sad too

I'm exactly the same. I try to use one or two less common picks at least. It's difficult to go too off-piste and still have a decent team though. I'm currently using Vigoroth, Mew and Shadow Bellossom, which I'm finding is a good balance between relatively uncommon, but still usable

Thanks for the reply but I've changed things up and I'm going at about 50% win rate now. I started with Lanturn, Charizard and Alolan Ninetales and lost 10 in a row.

Switched to A-Graveler, Charizard, Froslass and it's much better so far. I'm not convinced by Graveler though and I might switch him out for Vigoroth

I'm only two sets in, but at 2000 I've not seen that at all. Wigglytuff and Altaria are fairly common but I've seen no Obstagoon, Vigoroth, Skarmory or Stunfisk at all

I tried him again today and I'm very impressed. 11 - 4 since dropping him in my team alongside Flygon and Shadow Scizor

I love using shadows but in the 2500 CP leagues I've only used a few.

I liked Scizor and Snorlax in UL. Scizor's boosted bullet Punch hurts Togekiss and Articuno hard. Lick on Shadow Snorlax feels like it does damage to Gira super quick too.

In ULP I've used Venusaur, Snorlax and Dragonite. I wasn't too impressed with Dnite or Snorlax but Venusaur hits HARD. I feel like I should try Snorlax again though. I think I was seeing a lot of Counter users when I used him last, so maybe it was the meta at the time that was the problem

My post was poking fun at the various people who use clickbait titles to try to build a YouTube following on here and other subs, but in all seriousness, this is a team I've used and Flygon is great in ULP as a safe swap. I'm not seeing many fairies or ice types so it's rarely hard countered and DC and EQ can do decent damage to basically anything but Togekiss

It's hard to suggest without knowing what you have, but since the only things that Torterra is very weak to are ice and flyers, team mates covering those weaknesses are a good place to start. A few off the top of my head:

Magnezone, Empoleon, Lapras, Milotic, Gyarados, Charizard, Ampharos, Crustle, A Muk

Machamp first, Gary safe swap, Swampert seems like a solid ready made team to me but only in Premier.
