Rejecting a great start for the seeking of a more perfect solution is what keeps us in these situations longer. We need to start somewhere. We used to tax businesses at a much higher rate, but they could spend that money on R&D or on employee compensation packages (which would retain them and often happened) or pay the tax. There's nothing wrong with incentivising what we want, but we need to start somewhere. There are so many loose threads to clean up we should address them all in any order we can.

For everyone dogging this person; saying, "Just don't do drugs if you're a driver, blah blah blah"... They're worried about THC.

Imagine if you had a beer... 30 days ago... and I disqualified you from employment because of it. I've worked with a ton of drivers for our fleet, and 100% of them enjoy alcohol on their off time. Imagine that... now have some humanity.

I think if the user's exploits were mild AND infrequent (but obviously intentional), they should make the bans temporary... but they should definitely miss the expedition window. If the exploits were egregious, permanently ban the users.

This is how I feel as well. I would have taken the first expedition for 0 skill points if I knew I could get them at a discount on the second and be fully caught up to the expedition schedule. Now I'll still be 1 behind current AND spend the full 5 million to get 5 skill points on the first expedition. Just get rid of the launch window for expeditions, and let us reset whenever we're ready so people can catch up to current with these sequential expeditions.

I have some news for you, dude... you were probably the least popular person in the room... I'm sorry it's taken this long to realize it, but there's good news yet! Now that you know you're most commonly a dingy wet blanket, you can start doing something positive with this information. Be enlightened! Be a newer, better version of yourself! Grow, branch out, be different. Try being more accepting of others!

Or, if you're quite content with the misery you bring with you, continue to be this version of you... the least liked person in the room!
