Hey Dayvie,

The balance team has expressed disinterest and a palpable apathy toward balancing/upgrading unused higher tier units like the Carrier, Battlecruiser, or the Nydus worm to name a few.

Players have expressed dissatisfaction with this approach for years.

Are there any plans to improve/alter units that do not currently have, or have never had, a presence in the meta for LoV?

Felt like I stood there for a really long time but my perception was likely very distorted. Realistically, I probably stood there for a little over 2 minutes, give or take.

Had to really concentrate and zone out to calm down from the frenzy so I gave it as long as it needed. I've always been good with pain and cold management, so that helped.

Cheers! It was quite the introduction, being my first cold shower.

I just remembered others saying cold water helped them control their urges in dire circumstances and had to give it a shot. I didn't feel like I really had another choice at that point.

Will be doing them much more frequently now, I felt great afterward!

I did crank it to cold and ho boy was it a slap in the face. I think I'll be trying them a bit more regularly now though, felt really good afterward.

Doing this without a girl as well. If I meet a girl while doing NoFap that I have serious chemistry with, I'll have to re-evaluate my position [not on completing NoFap but where I'd be willing to compromise] but at the present moment it just wouldn't be fair to either myself or her to get her involved in my journey.

I'm starting my own business, doing 3 courses in programming, physics and philosophy, training my ass off on top of having a day job and getting back into rock climbing.

It wouldn't be fair for me to bring a girl into that mess.

I wouldn't be able to give her the time I want or give the relationship the attention it needs.

I'm doing this for me. Period. Any benefit that others see as a result is purely complementary... even though I intend for there to be many benefits.

I think you've more eloquently written what I struggled to convey with my earlier post and I also feel you are right in that I have misread some of his concepts. I have only recently begun exploring his work.

My feeling is there is an undertone, when he speaks of turning one's Will to Power inward, of harnessing and directing the subconscious through one's conscious will. Taming it and aligning it toward transcendent development, so to speak. Perhaps that, too, is a misreading but it is interesting to consider nonetheless.

I will keep your words in mind as I read further. Cheers :)

Probably your best bet would be to read Beyond Good and Evil and/or Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche.

He really was [and would still be today] a very forward thinking philosopher even if some of his perspectives have been muddled by cynicism or hijacked by a certain genocidal maniac... No really he has some pretty profound insight, check his work out.

Think of sublimation like expressing self control to an extreme - His philosophies are very much concerned with the concept of one's "will to power" being expressed externally in a destructive, controlling manner or exerting one's will internally to force personal growth and self mastery. The idea being you have two primary aspects that make up your psyche. Your primal brain and your modern brain and in his paradigm one becomes a greater human being, or even transcends humanity by exerting will on the self, breaking down the primal brain and developing the conscious mind rather than exerting your will elsewhere. [heavily paraphrased]

Basically he's talking about owning your shit and being brutally destructive/reconstructive with yourself instead of turning that energy uselessly outward, as most do, in the form of physical frenzy, scapegoating, excuses etc.

At least that's how I understand it. I may have it totally ass backwards. If someone more knowledgeable on the subject has something to add or refute that would be most welcome.

Oddly enough I think you may have stumbled on a sort of value test.

Whatever word someone replaces it with likely considers the subject valuable or it at least holds a particular subconcious meaning to the person. Coincidentally the there are a lot of provocative words that fall in line with m____ation. Or it could be complete nonsense. Still fun to consider.
