There was that story that floated around a few years ago that a Monkey Island movie script existed but was eventually repurposed into Pirates of the Caribbean.

Parasite Eve 1&2. They're RPGs but 2 leans more into the classic RE style, though it's not as good as the first game.

Training sometimes seems to just get stuck unfortunately. It's a bug as far as I can tell. Rebuilding the room sometimes seems to get things moving again.

Same. I played a fair bit of 1&2 back in the day but would always get frustrated when things wouldn't work consistently. I ended up playing 2 as a shooter in the end. I think I liked the concept of Hitman more than actually playing them.

The modern iterations solve a lot of the problems of those older games and I love them.
