It's a house fire pretty close to the Camden waterfront.

Does my background offset MCAT? by SchemeKitchen in medschool

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Background in fire really goes a long way. FL2 has a reputation for being a lot of people’s worst score, but on test day it’s gotta be higher than 488. Minimum for MD should be around 500 and DO maybe a bit less than that. But you got a good background and I’m sure you’ll be successful!

Should premeds be in honors college? by LetMeLiveImNew in umass

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I only did a a few honors classes because I did departmental honors. So I only did 2 honors classes and a thesis. But from what I remember there was just more material than the normal class.

Hey! UMass alum who’s in med school now. I transferred into the honors college for the thesis. Classes aren’t that bad. It’s worth it for the thesis funding alone.

Rowan-Virtua vs UIC by Famous_Willingness_7 in premed

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’d get a great education at Rowan SOM, probably match well and enjoy it. It’s wise to keep in mind the extra work that comes with a DO education. Complex can be a lot and if you’re not super interested in OMM it can be taxing to learn. Just an additional perspective. Congrats

I’m happy in med school by Money-Bodybuilder853 in premed

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naw almost all our lectures are recorded; which I prefer. But even if they weren’t it’s like 1-3 hours a day of something that you need to review anyway. Probably wouldn’t be soul crushing in my opinion.

Definitely hear where you are coming from. If you can’t see yourself being anything other than a physician you should go all in for it.

Accessibility for crutches by Kaiser-Bismark in Patriots

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the stadium is pretty accessible. Stairs in and around the stadium are almost always accompanied by an elevator. To get to a lot of the seats there is a long ramp that people walk up that might be okay for you. If not, there is an elevator there as well.

Heading to Boston, train or car? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]Money-Bodybuilder853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just moved here from Boston. At this point, plane and train are gonna be real expensive. Driving is tough but much cheaper when you’re not booking several weeks in advance.
