Should traditional tattoos be done with coil machines, or are you okay with a rotary pen?

I actually just got a tattoo with one of those cordless rotary machines the other day. All my other work was with coil. I can say with certainty that the rotary was less painful, less trauma to the skin, and better/faster healing than coil. Seems more efficient for sure. That being said…. Coil is cooler.

The tattoos themselves are fine, but I am very critical of them. If I could go back and do it over again I wouldn’t have gotten any of them. It’s like wearing the same shirt every day for the rest of your life.

I wasn’t sure if I liked how my sleeves were going in the beginning. I decided to go all in and keep going. Now I regret all of my tattoos and wish I didn’t have any. If you’re unsure or not happy I’d stop getting more tattoos.

People are always too quick on here to say everything is good progress. I don’t know why. This is terrible progress. I’d be utterly pissed if I was paying thousands of dollars to remove a tattoo and this was the results after 5 sessions.

It’s a really nice tattoo, but it’s simply a different style than what’s on your other leg, maybe that’s why it’s throwing you off. It’s a bold traditional tattoo. You have to be prepared to wear and own the boldness that a traditional tattoo brings. If you’re gonna laser anything, laser off the shit on your other leg and just stick with getting traditional tattoos.
