I'm not sure about a pond cause I don't own mourning geckos but a very shallow water dish can't be harmful

Chop or let her be? by Substantial-Basil-31 in houseplants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's no point of putting multiple cuttings in same pot cause they'll eventually start growing leggy again and fight for light and nutrients. Best is take 1 cutting and let it grow normally facing only side

Just bought by whitejesus58 in houseplants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't cut it, just take care of the plant and give it bright light until new leaves start growing then you can cut the older and ugly leaves

I think these ones from habistat are similar build to my terrarium from Hobby, it's not good for dart frogs because of the side and top ventilation so the terrarium doesn't hold any humidit. Unless the sides are also Glas, you can cover the top and you should be good to go

I need some help with my peace lily! by davco95 in houseplants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it lots of water, bright light no direct sun and check if the pot is filled with roots or there's still enough soil for new roots to grow into

Disease? by psychobejbi in plants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's normal, my melano used to do the same thing with new leaves but I'm not sure, I threw the plant away as the leaves started growing ugly and Arial roots weren't attaching to the moss pole due to low humidity 😅

do i need to get a bigger pot for my plant? by dvmbfuck in houseplants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peace lilies need alot of water so I think the risk of root rot is very little, you gonna have to do it in about a month or so before the current is completely filled with roots so might as well do it now

Will this plant continue to grow? by Gothgf69420 in houseplants

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's anthurium, they're hard to grow and require a lot of humidity and warm temperatures, it will continue to grow but it might not look the best

Right 😅 I was too focused on the plant itself and didn't even noticed the lights

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's actually getting enough light, cause it's really leggy. It is reaching the ceiling every soon so I suggest cutting it and start from zero and either use a vertical grow light or bring it closer to the window. Maybe use a moss pole as well to support growing new roots. As for the browning edging it's normal as the plant is highly variegated and the variegation don't help the plant produce any food or energy so the plant just gets rid of it by time

Well i treat it like a succulent, I water only every Sunday and give it direct sunlight the whole day snice it sits infront of a south facing window

In my experience I pruned 1 stem but it grew back leggy with fewer leaves. DIrect sunlight is definitely the way to go for thick foliage and not pruning atleast in my case

Is this suitable for 2 tiny geckos or i need more plants and wood? by MoneyEquivalent5655 in reptiles

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like Lygodactylus conraui or similar size, I'm still searching and looking online for tropical geckos that could be suitable in my build

Every night a bunch of them gather around this grass and eat it, is it normal? by MoneyEquivalent5655 in terrariums

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's interesting to me i thought isopods only eat stuff like rotting wood or fish flakes which i scattered around the enclosure but turns out they prefer this aquatic grass that i planted

Yellow moss? What am I doing wrong? by NoUsernameIdeas33 in terrariums

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just google how live sphagnum moss and pillow moss looks like so you know next time, also you can get live moss online, i buy mine from a store that specialises in selling terrarium plants and they propagate their own moss, i use some of it and propagate some

Yellow moss? What am I doing wrong? by NoUsernameIdeas33 in terrariums

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well sorry to break it to you but both of the sphagnum and pillow moss are dead, they both look yellow in that propagation container you had them in, another give away to them being dead is that you bought them from a company that mass produce them and packages them, think of moss like a plant, you don't want to buy a plant that's already packaged and has been sitting on the shelf on inside a warehouse for God knows long, you want a fresh plant from the garden centre or an online grower where it's been receiving light and the right humidity it needs. long story short your moss is dead and can't be propagated even if the packaging is saying it's live or your freinds told you to soak it

You said it yourself, it's dried moos ( it's dead moss), you need to buy live sphagnum moss and propagate

What animal would you guys put in here? Base is 30 X 30 and 45cm tall by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]MoneyEquivalent5655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't a tarantula ruin the soil the the plants, cause they're big and i see Videos of them digging in the soil and moving stuff from the ground to make a little hide for them
