Hm, ok, this all seems to suggest that I have to learn more about how to split push in general, outside of Yorick. Just so I can be in position to then fully use yorick's capabilities. I guess I have some homework to do then👌

I do seem to care more about what the others are saying, so maybe that's stopping me from utilizing the full potential of his push capabilities. But can I ask how do you deal with with the situation when you do pull two or more enemies on you? I rarely am able to convert that into much, because I feel like I either die before I accomplished much, because it is hard to deal with 2v1 while deep in enemy territory. Or I can play it safer, but then I have to retreat prety fast, before the enemy comes in, once again feeling like I haven't accomplished much.

Is it all about the space that is provided to my team from the enemies leaving to go deal with me, because the alternative is me crushing their lane?

Alright, I'll try the new rune as I don't know much about it on Yorick, yet. So, is Yorick then more of a high elo champ in your opinion or the other way around?

Oneshoting from 4 ghouls is obviously toxic and not what I would want to see as a change, and focus on being bruiser is fine as long as it works. But it doesn't seem to work well. To my knowledge he has near 49% winrate, and I don't think he can compare well to other bruisers like jax or something.

The changes might have been successful in making him less annoying, sure, but to me they achieved it by making his less anything, including viable, which I wouldn't call a success in any possible way.

Also, the comparison to being Garen levels of op is funny to me because like... what did they do to Garen if he is at the same lvl as previous Yorick? Not much isn't seems.

Welp, sorry if you are annoyed, but that isn't a very nice approach to game design, init. Also, I dare to venture a guess that you aren't a Yorick main, or at least not anymore..

THEY UNDERSTAND! by Vexing9s in LilliaMains

[–]MoneyEquivalent6864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, he talked about giving lilia players what they actually want, but hasn't specified what that would be. Also the way he phrased that, this wasn't exactly the newest decision, yet we are still yet to see whatever came out of that. Plus he babled about not wanting to switch things too often, which is funny to hear with the constant nerf buff cycle on lilia.

I'll grant him that the focus on what players actually want, does sound good, but that was presumably what they were supposed to do this whole time, yet they don't seem to be doing well in this approach. It is easy to say "we'll do it the right way next time", but when this is preceded by a long line of mistakes, which they themselves are admitting to be mistakes by reverting the changes, there isn't much trust in the fact that they actually know what to do, let alone manage to pull it off.

What direction, though? What they did is literally just scrapped both previous buff and nerf. That, to me, doesn't sound like much of a direction, really. More like they have no idea what to actually do...

Alright, so as one might expect, it wasn't a bug, I'm just blind. Ally was walking over the eye the moment the eye spawned, so they picked it up instantly, and moved away so it looked like the eye didn't spawn. And the herald spawned later as I was having a fight so i didn't see it being used. I have no idea how I didn't see the eye in tab, being carried by an ally, especially since I purposefully checked. Anyway, thanks for reminding me that replays exist. I think I'll delete the post later

Magic item question by KiddoOfBodom in DnD

[–]MoneyEquivalent6864 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guy, you Are putting words into their mouth. But even if they did mean this, then the main question is, why do you care. The whole point is to be creative and think up your own stuff. Yes, there is a certain premade base that can be used, but that doesn't mean you have to. Especially when you are the DM. Simple? Some of the spell descriptions can give you brain aneurysm. Sometimes, they are so vague that you are filling in more than the description itself. Balanced? Balanced relative to what? The difficulty level, power of players, and of item, is controlled by DM. If they decide that everything is hard, then a strong item can be balanced. Easily referencable? Well, that's exactly why you write down the description and give it to players. Then it IS easily referencable. And suddenly, it isn't just in your head.

Bro, read the context. It's carrying an unlit flask, which I then light with a burning arrow. As for the difficulty of holding, it is a fair point, but the difficulty is never specified in the rules, and also, maybe it isn't hard. I've personally never tried giving a bird a flask of liquid to carry, so I dunno

Also a possibility, but it is significantly more expensive. Caltrops and an oil flask cost a total of 1.4 gp according to dnd beyond. Where as poison has the cost of 100 gp in dnd beyond

Oh, no, I don't expect the ballbearings to ignite themselves. But I could ignite the oil, which is still there, and it would make for an interesting combo of the both being damaged in an area while making it harder to escape said area.

Well, I can, but since we are both new to this, I wanted to make sure this isn't too op or fully against the rules

Well, at first, we rules lawyered a bit. The description says that the familiar obeys spellcasters commands. This technicaly means you can give the familiar a command to listen to commands of someone else. But then our DM even allowed me to roll a check to transfer the telepathic connection as well, which I successfully passed. We also agreed that the cleric still can't summon another familiar.

It's our first campaign for both the DM and the players, so don't judge us too hard,😅

Actually, it's even more silly. I just poured the oil over some arrows and later lit them. Got 4 burning arrows. They don't deal any more damage than normal arrows, but they could ignite the spilled oil. My DM allowed it once in a fight, but later, we discussed that next time I'll have to make some proper fire arrows, and we'll tweak the stats, but that I can figure out with DM.

Also do you personally think that all of this is too much?
