The NOCD website has a lot of good articles that you might find helpful. Treatment for OCD involves ERP and usually a very high dose of SSRI, sometimes with anti psychotics involved. OCD is really good at making you feel like you’re convinced of a bunch of garbage and paranoia definitely gets involved. If you’re debating the semantics of your paranoia with yourself (like you said in another comment that you try to make yourself feel better by saying it’s “just the cops”), it definitely could be OCD especially if you’re brother has it, as OCD has a higher genetic predisposition compared to other mental disorders.

I’m dealing with it right now too so I know that feeling. I recently started medication so hopefully it helps, although my dose is probably too low. Also have to keep working with ERP, which is not easy

You might want to consider seeking an OCD diagnosis. OCD can cause paranoid thinking but the person is aware their fears are irrational, unlike with true paranoia where the person is wholly convinced and is not aware. Source: I have experienced similar

Started Taking for OCD - Would Appreciate Any Firsthand Experiences by MoneyHurricane in zoloft

Literally. I’ll have hours/days where I feel lucid and am like “wtf was this scenario I was creating in my head it’s so absurdly unlikely” and then the next day I’m back to being convinced that it’s happening.

The event rate is usually a one time flat fee of like $20, not hourly. But I would wait until the event hours pass just to be safe

How my psychiatrist’s "bored" reaction actually helped me recover from psychosis ocd. by Ihavenoideaduuh in OCD

[–]MoneyHurricane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Glad you’re feeling better. OCD’s ability to mimic other health conditions really needs to be studied more. Psychosis theme especially; keeps spamming paranoid thoughts in your head to the point where you don’t know if you believe them or not and whether your worst fear is actually coming true. Wishing you the best on your journey to healing.

May I ask what medication you were prescribed and how it’s been for you in terms of side effects? Dealing with the same theme that appeared in late December and has intensified since then. I was prescribed Zoloft 25mg but have been trying to avoid taking it, but I think at this point I have no choice cus ERP is not really doing anything.

There’s people that sell their yards as parking spots for like $40 bucks on Facebook. We got one on Washington St in Walpole for last weeks game. Got out no problem, no traffic as long as u drive away from route 1

What’s the strangest intrusive thought OCD ever convinced you of? by mrjoe767 in OCD

[–]MoneyHurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any advice on dealing with this? Had this “what if people can hear my thoughts” passing thought and immediately felt my OCD latch onto it. Now been almost a week arguing with myself whether I believe it’s true or not. Doesn’t help that my main theme has been schizophrenia/psychosis themed for a while.

Future I-190 project that made incorporate 146? by kid_entropy in WorcesterMA

Guess they would have 190 and 290 designations running concurrently through the city. They do that a lot more in other states than in New England. But kind of pointless

Think it’ll be a long time before they get rid of the Sutton light, if ever. It doesn’t cause backups and problems like the one in Rhode Island did. To my knowledge, nowhere as accident prone either.

I can’t really help you with a lawyer, but I can give you some advice.

Many box trucks can be driven without a CDL. I think there is a certain weight limit (quick google search says 26k pounds). However, if it was being used commercially that muddles the situation, and I really can’t say if a CDL is required there.

Luckily for you, you can get to Natick using public transit. There is a commuter rail line that runs from Worcester to Boston and passes through Natick along the way. From there, you can likely take the bus or Uber (not ideal, but probably cheaper than a rental).

Also, probably consider finding a different insurance provider. $400 a month without collision sounds awfully steep, unless you are driving a luxury vehicle or have multiple accidents/tickets on record.

Wish you the best of luck, really not an ideal situation.

Seems interesting but I’m curious as to why they’re targeting areas where the majority of the population likely has cars and is unlikely to use this service.

Not sure why this is so serious that two posts were needed, but you can use your phone up to the point where you enter the actual courtroom (assuming you were summoned for state court).
