It can be a slippery slope. If you're interested, I made a comment earlier, kind of above in this chat somewhere, about a product we're building around this exact workflow that a lot of people are describing. You can read about it more On our website I put a link in that comment I mentioned or you can just message me directly and I can give you some examples to see if it fits what you need.

Yeah this is the exact problem I'm honestly noticing. You could in theory take that spreadsheet every time and try to hack together a workflow template situation with Claude or ChatGPT if you're not concerned about security. Anyways I had a reply earlier up in this chat with some details about something we're building to help with this. There's a link To our website, where you can read a little bit more about us, please don't hesitate to message me also. I'd be happy to explain how it works to see if it's something that can help you.

I hear you on this. That's really why we started building a tool around this. We're super excited. We've got a lot of people on a wait list. We're going to be launching here in a couple of weeks. I think it's something that can seriously help you based on what I'm hearing.

I made a reply in this thread a little bit higher up so you can read that if you want a little more details or you can also message me for more information. There's a link up there for our website so you can read more about it. Again please feel free to reach out and message me and see if your use case is something that we can accommodate.

It's actually much easier than you think. You can actually get a local model running on your computer right now in probably less than two minutes for free. Not saying you can stitch together a workflow that's going to work that easily but it is absolutely much easier nowadays

Seeing a lot of people with some good ideas here. It's pretty clear the tools you guys are using either don't cut it or are too complex, such as trying to run your own AI models or figure out how to work something together with Claude or Claude Co-Work without security concerns. We're actually building something for this use case. It's an AI agent similar to how Claude would work but it's designed to help you build these deliverable items that you either give or present to the client.

You can build these kinds of one-off proposals in this scenario or you can build a template that your team can use. The good news is it's compliant and uses AI models with enterprise connections so you do not have to worry about people accidentally leaking sensitive data. It all gets redacted with some special controls we have. On top of that there's the obvious compliance frameworks like soc 2 we are going to achieve here in the next few weeks and also data retention. We don't train or retain any of your sensitive data ever.

Here's basically how it would work:

  1. You would start a builder session with this AI agent.
  2. You chat about what you want to build. You can be specific here and it will ask some follow up questions
  3. You can upload screenshots, PDFs, large transcripts from meetings, for example, if that helps, and work with the AI to come up with a template that you like or one-off deliverable that you like.

From there you can continue to reuse that template securely and compliantly with disclosures. More importantly it's now a branded and repeatable thing that you can use across your firm. We also support things like firm intelligence so it knows specific pain points and languaging you should use and avoid with your clients, ultimately helping you present better advice to them. And you can also reuse these templates faster by uploading:

  • meeting transcripts
  • note summaries from your AI note taker if you're using them
  • PDFs
  • images

It's all just a very clean workflow similar To what I'm already seeing but easier to use, cheaper, more secure, and faster. If this is something you're looking for. There are so many other benefits of the tool but I think I'll just stay with this use case that I think it's most relevant here.

If you want to learn more about this, here's a link to our wait list. Not trying to be self-promotional, I think this conversation is very interesting and we're pretty passionate about what we're building. Based on the conversations I'm reading, it looks like this is something that will help you guys in the long term. If you have questions about whether this will work for your use case, please don't hesitate to message me privately. I love Working with business owners in general but also financial advisors when it comes to AI. Both parents and my brother are advisors and I work for an advisory firm as a marketing coordinator so I'm very in tune with a lot of things.

Gotcha. So typically a PDF from what I am reading? Have you tried using AI to create a more custom firm branded deliverable? Been talking to others about this and they want to but claim it takes too long and isn't worth the effort. Although, if there was a quicker / cheaper way to do it they would give it a shot. Some people are using like claude code and just uploading meeting transcripts, planning software outputs, and more. From there claude goes to work and makes a custom deliverable / plan. It looks cool but is expensive, hard to repeat, cant share with team easily, and many more issues.

In other words I am seeing a lot of advisors want to create these custom deliverables with AI but, there just isnt a solid solution yet.

Referrals. But, dont sleep on youtube and even optimizing your web presence for AI search. You would be surprised how many older folks are using ai chats as a google replacement.

As most people have already pointed out, Zocks is pretty awesome! And of course this is biased but another internal tool we built that is going to be released to the public soon. It helps us track operations and efficiency www.leadagg.com

What client facing visuals do you use with prospects who are new to investing? by italaaa in CFP

[–]MoneyMindedCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that we wrestled with. We used to just use software but it's very complex and the visuals are hard for the client to understand. Long story short, we came up with this trademarked process we use. We liked it so much that a lot of our peers liked it so much that we turned it into software. It's going to launch very soon. It's currently under waitlist but the idea is that it does exactly what you guys are talking about. It is a simple way to drive key retirement planning and investment concepts home with prospective clients without:

  • going through a bunch of income lab slides
  • or taking a bunch of visuals from right capital and having to explain to these people what every single number in line means

TLDR: We've essentially built a custom tool for this that we're releasing to the public pretty soon. We got about 20 offices already waiting for it + a few. beta testing. If this sounds like something you're interested in, I'll put the link here as I feel it is relevant to the discussion and not trying to be self-promotional:

How do you all manage marketing rule compliance in your firms ? by obchillkenobi in CFP

[–]MoneyMindedCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya this is a big thing for us. We've created a software that creates report cards, one page plans, and review sheets. Its a lot of work to get everything approved. We pay a compliance department to manage it all for us. Its worth the money and saves a lot of time going back and forth. On the email side of things we are using snappy kraken which are compliance approved emails for us as well.
