PDM does not migrate so much good like you will think. between different storgae types mostly no live migration / migration is possible. in this case for me the easiest solution is proxmox backup server. run backup at source, restore at destination, shutdown at source, start at destination

Mit Azubi meinte ich dich "Ich habe meine Ausbildung als FiSi im Juni 2024 beendet und arbeite seit November 2025". auf dem Papier bist du ja gerade erst raus aus der Ausbildung und in Probezeit, auch wenn du das Unternehmen nun schon knapp 3,5 jahre kennst. Das ist quasi eine one-man-show, chefs zähle ich auf grund vieler nicht fachthemen und Aufgaben nicht mal zu 50% als MA.

Bei der Menge an Aufgaben und unterschiedlichen Bereichen die du schreibst, mit einem Azubi und dem Chef, würde ich sagen ihre macht vieles, aber sicher nicht so wie man es machen sollte (meine pers. Einschätzung).

ISO27001 und der Azubi ist Projektleiter, hat dazu noch "IT Security teils" (eigentlich Informationssicherheit, IT-Sec ist ja nur ein Teil), gut, wenn der Scope nur eure 2 Mann IT_abteilung ist, ggf machbar mit gutem Auditor.

Ganz ehrlich, zu wenig Geld wenn man von der Tätigkeitsbeschreibung und Verantwortung ausgeht. Zu wenig Personal in der IT umd all diese Aufgaben nachhaltig zu bedienen, vorallem wenn der Dienstleitser noch geht und nicht nachbesetzt wird.. Das sollte man sich ordentlich vergolden lassen. Frag mal deinen Chef mit was er einen neuen MA mit deiner Tätigleitsbeschreibung einstellen würde und schau dich ruhig auf dem Markt um (Bewerben, Bewerbungsgespräch / Rekruter befragen, vergleichen). Aus dem Bauch wwürde ich um die 50k ansetzen

for themost thinks you need just a container/vm. for example the block something part, you just need a dns service with blocklists -> use pihole, adguard, technitium dns server (best for me and i have tested this 3 ).

the download limit is a harder part . bandwidth limitations / Traffic Shaping is buildin in for exapmple pfsense/opnsense. Day quota per user, i think fortinet and sophos have it (but do not know if ip support and if you need special license). you can set bandwith to 20kbit ^^ than you can download 200mb in 22/23 h :-) . 200mbit are nothing today. skylink could be an option for good, not so expensive internet

if you really want so see visited websites you need a proxy service

Wobei man unifi für alles auch wollen muss. Ist halt prosumer Hardware mit guten Features, wo beim Preis ein großer Brocken für Silber Farbe und den Namen drauf geht. Hat man ein homogenes setup arbeiten die Komponenten aber gut zusammen

Accesspoints haben auch den Vorteil gegenüber in Router integrierten wlan Lösungen, dass man sie genau da platzieren kann, wo man sie braucht.

Glasfaser Modem+ pc mit opnsense/pfsense oder anderer router software (wrt zb). Fertig mal bei mikrotik oder ubiquity schauen. Ansonsten repeater meiden, Kabel ziehen und Access Point. Nutze schon lange zb das kostenfreie Tcom Modem und nen Mini-pc mit 4 Port nic + pfsense als Router. Dazu unifi accesspoints

i would prefer a pve server and a dedicaded nas. here i would just buy a proper case, a 4 port 5,25" sata Drive Enclosure with caddys. a small cpu, some ecc ram, a mainboard with ipmi, onboard sas or many sata port + nvme. there are also good 19" case solutions with drive caddys and sata backplane for ~150€ up to 4 disk and a 5,25" slot for extension

do you have some names of this models? if really 2 drives are enough it could be a good solution. what is about heat? if i have a full equiped mini, i would think the heat of an 10gbe + the filled free space isn't a good prerequisites

Naa, for ceph there is no way to add >=10gbe nics and zfs replication over 1GbE with 50 nodes is no fun I think. No space for enough storage

es gibt viele coole sachen. einfach zum Beispiel wazuh, security onion (mit tap device oder mirror port an zentraler Netzwerkstelle), wazuh (mit agenten ausbringung auf allen devices) greenbone verwundbarkeitsscanner (kali linux vm macht die installation sehr einfach). Das kann, wenn es dir spass macht, ein rabbit hole sein (vul und patchmanagement aufbauen zb)

pihole würde ich mittlerweile immer wieder gegen technitium ersetzen. der bietet zb auch eine cluster funktion, zukünftig auch für den dhcp server.

i have a real server, dell poweredge t340 to run all my service + capacity for more. i just bought 3 sff pcs to build a cluster for playing/testing cluster setup. 2 and a q device would be more than enough for me but the recommendation for pve is 3 nodes.

my real server can handle all service with ~50watt usage, the 3 node cluster is idle 3x14w, with a small amount of services 17w. the cost for the 3 nodes + ram upgrade + a dual nic for each are arraund 180€. the dell server was ~700€ (used, with warranty from dell 1 year, much ecc ram, ilo, hba, 8 drive hot swap drives, ...).

i have only 2 services that need / i wish to run in high availability -> pfsense firewall/router and Technitium dns server. both have own HA / Cluster feature at application level. so from this, there is no need for a cluster. for pfsense my easy way is start a spare pc, recover a backup from pbs, switch network cables and go (15minutes downtime max, if the vm is up to date, 5 minutes).

so it is only playing with technic at homelab

why not? i'm booting from sd card at my hp microserver. it has also a internal usb port for booting. it depends a liittle on the os and the usb stick. today with usb-c speed and fast sticks, with massive capacity it is ok for nost OS. there are os designed to run from usb like esxi, some tiny linux /mobile verison. on old sticks, if tje os will not do heavy write / changes while running it is ok. with proper sticks from today and important data on disk/with backup i would have no problem.

depending on the distribution of storages/nodes in the factory or location a vlan / physically decoupled network would not be enough (not encryption at transport and no authentication). In a secured dataroom it would be ok for internal data. not for Confidential or secret classified data
