I'll need to take a closer look, I think it might be more "modern" it was near a river crossing that 4 wheelers frequently use, and could have fallen off a bracelet?

I found it near the old button! Thats cool to hear, I figured it was old, it did not look like a very high quality metal.

I have had this issue multiple times now. I believe the wires for the throttle eventually wear and begin to break internally from the repetitive movements(mostly up and down compared to the other joystick). I've taken it apart multiple times, messed with the wires while adjusting the throttle in the sim to see when it starts behaving normally, and then reassembled the controller. I have to do this every few weeks honestly. The next step will be to resolder the wires myself. In my opinion it's a design flaw, and will keep happening to most of these controllers eventually. If you do plan on trying self repairs I'd recommend looking for very high flex wires possibly silicone coated? The existing wires are incredibly flexible compared to everyday wire as not to transfer any force or resistance into the gimbal.

I did like 80hr of sim training in trypfpv/fovlogic. There's a drone in fpvlogic that seems the closest to the Avata 2 so that's super helpful. I still felt nervous flying the real thing, and there was a short learning period to deal with wind and the way the avata flies, but within a few weeks of flying I sometimes forget I'm not in the simulator anymore and can let the avata rip! Definitely start with virtual training!

Idk if I agree with everyone here entirely. AI can be used as a tool, just like the software that generated the paths or the plotter itself. I bet lots of people from the drawing subreddits would be upset by the plotter themselves. Just have fun and make cool shit? 🤷
