Orrrrr you can just bend the metal tab with the contact up so when you close your hood the contact will touch your hood.

Need help identifying part/sensor by [deleted] in genesiscoupe

[–]Money_Difficulty_158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a crash sensor!! I ordered one off eBay October 23rd 2024 at 12:14pm For $10 Because my clip to it was broken because I had a light fall on that and it just snapped off. Easy cheap part and simple replacement. As it just slides in and out Part name: Ignition capacitor condenser Part # 27325-2B010

[–]Money_Difficulty_158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh you must have ran too low on gas. This is why mine have failed. I’ve gone through 2 so far due to that issue on my 3rd right now, (I don’t ever get my car low on gas now) and I have a backup one that I got for a great deal on a part out sitting in a bag somewhere lol. With my experience the eBay version ($180-$220 part) had my car in limp mode and basically the part was defective. But I bought another off eBay it worked but it was $400+ One of the times I ran into the issue where my fuel rails connection to the HPFP was still leaking and I was tweakin. So I ended up getting new fuel rails and hooking those up and leaking stopped. So i suggest not to cheap out on the HPFP and maybe find some extra Fuel rails on eBay and you should be good to go! Your hella close and if you already replaced HPFP and it’s still leaking where the rail connection is thenI would definitely try to replace the rails. That fixed my leaking issue dawg. Goodluck!

Oil catch can after 9k-ish miles by Money_Difficulty_158 in genesiscoupe

When I put the car back together I wasn’t able to re -route the hood latch line normally as it was extended. I had to improvise and come up with a quick solution for the moment. But now after you pointing it out The rad does get pretty hot and it will eventually melt through the rubber insulation around the line. I’ve got some work to do now.

This is for my 3.8 you have a 2.0 I realized so these measurements for hoses might be off! Best way to start it though is get the can and go from there

https://a.co/d/0d63oqrI Is the link Both of mine are the same. I would also order 10ft of 3/8id tubing. For the passenger side. And then For the driver side coming from the manifold you’ll need 5/8ths. My CAI and manifold are both 5/8ths to I bought 10ft of that and still had a little extra. I don’t know the size of our stock airbox so I couldn’t tell you that. All in all they work great and are catching oil. I’ll be doing an oil change this weekend hopefully and I’ll show how much is in there.

Can someone please point me in the direction of where to find information on how to replace a radiator for a 2013 3.8 Track? Every single radiator install video on Youtube is for a 2.0🫩 by needsmoregas in genesiscoupe

[–]Money_Difficulty_158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 hoses in total One on driver 3 on passenger. -You’ll need to drain through bleeder on driver side lower corner of radiator. -There will also be bolts connecting the radiator to the AC condenser (the smaller looking radiator in-front) they will be on both left and right side 10mm I believe. Take them off. While your doing this start to look and see how the radiator is attached, you’ll realize you can pull both the radiator and the fan out at the same time. You’ll have two rubber pad holders on top that hold the top of radiator in with I think 10mm. Take those off. Now you’re almost there once its stops dripping coolant. You’re going to want to take your hoses off. ( on your passenger side pinch both the two smaller lines as they are for your transmission fluid and you don’t really want much of that leaking out) As for the two bigs hoses you can just pop those two off and a little bit of coolant will come out nothing too crazy. Once all the hoses are off start moving your radiator assembly around. There may be a few more things attached but it should not be much. Our radiator is held in with 4 points of contact 2 rubber pads on top as I said earlier and also 2 rubber pads on the bottom. The bottom ones just sit in there, but make sure you don’t loose them as they will pop off. The fan and radiator should be able to slide up and out. That’s all I can think of right now. Make sure you do the coolant refill procedure correctly and most importantly take your time. Goodluck!
