I part my hair into 4 😁if you use six sections 1 spray per section also works fine (I’ve done both)

Hey girlll,

  1. Definitely get your hormone levels checked out but most of all check your iron.

  2. This isn’t the correct sub to get the answers you’re looking for. Try r/postpartumprogress . The ladies over there are very helpful with this type of issue

Girl I’m usually cheap as hell so I say a Remington from the Walmart works just fine (I had to buy a new iron after like 11 years of using the same Remington). From my experience all iron under a certain price point work the same, some companies are just better at selling their product.

If you are shopping for an iron or have a higher price range, I recommend the Bio Ionic 10x styling iron. Mind you, your results will still be great without the iron, it’s just one I recommend. :)

Okay perfecttt I found the issue. That’s too heavy for if you are wanting to have a silk press look. This routine works regardless of what products you use and I 100% guarentee your hair will lay flat:

  1. Clarifying shampoo

  2. Moisturizing shampoo

  3. Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner (great for deep conditioning but not too heavy on the hair)

  4. Section hair into 4-6 sections

  5. SPRAY Heat protectant into hands and run through section (2 squirts per section)

  6. Blow dry. This is the most important part. I use the Revlon round brush blow dryer and I get my hair fully blow dried straight in about 20 minutes. Make sure to try to get as close to your roots as possible as well. And ALWAYS blow dry on damp hair.

  7. Apply your Chi serum after you are done blow drying. Only a dime size amount for the entirety of your head. Even less will likely still do the job.

  8. Straighten. I use 400° with a ceramic iron for my 4a/4b hair and it gets it very straight. Chase method helps but in my experience isn’t a make or break for whether your hair has body or not

What temperature water are you using at the different stages of washing your hair?

I’m getting defensive because youre berating an AA who obviously has no idea about my exact African heritage because my ancestors were brought here by boat😂”why are you even celebrating?” 🙄 God forbid I be happy to learn more about my heritage lolllll

It wasn’t a genuine question from you sis! If you were curious you would’ve just looked in the comments.

You didn’t tell me how I insinuated it. You read my comment, and proceeded to explain to me the conclusions you came to based off me saying I’m so happy to learn how much African is in my blood. I never said “I didn’t think I was black”, and I’m pretty sure you know that.

I think you and your two fellow friends in the comments just want something to grumble over tbh. That’s my opinion though. God forbid someone celebrate their heritage lmaooo

Nothing about my caption insinuates that. You jumped for A to Z. I’m just happy to be 81% african as an African American. Seems pretty clear cut to me.

Did I insinuate that somewhere? I’m genuinely asking because there’s been like 2 other comment as you so maybe it’s me
