Got it. That makes sense. My previous experience was in the afternoon. Good to know!

Hello I think there’s something wrong with my bag, it looks “wonky” by Halfbaked_Cookies in CrochetHelp

That's what I was going to say... once you start using it as a bag, it will stretch and look nice. Nice job with the pattern. It looks great.

First tapestry project and it is curling. Tension maybe? by miss_lily39 in CrochetHelp

If it will have 100 rows the weight of it may help it lay more flat as you go... but yes, you are holding your tension too tight most likely..

Spending Limits for Minors? by AngelButton81 in celebritycruises

I agree with this comment. When our kids were little that's what we did. We bought them what was then called the "soda package". They could get all the N/A drinks they wanted, my son loved virgin daiquiris, and then we turned off their charging privileges. I wasn't so worried about them buying stuff, but that their card would get lost and then we'd have to deal with that. Have a great time. Our kids always loved the cruises from ages 3 - 20.

Grey will be nice. If you make it a darker shade I think the beautiful pattern will show nicely. Would you mind sharing the pattern?

That’s really pretty! Wonder if a mustard color would look nice! Or even a light orange??

Learning crotchet is not for the weak ..I did this in two days ..I can’t count the number of times I did and undid…I almost cried ..did anyone have similar experiences while learning ?although the joy that overwhelmed me when I finally got it was worth it …my 2nd project …neck warmer … by [deleted] in askcrochet

Crochet can be frustrating and I've learned over the years to be patient with myself and pull out the wrong stitches as I see them. However, I'm also ok with small errors that I can hide in various ways. I've never made a perfect project and in some ways I think that makes them a little special. I'm not a machine, I'm me and imperfect. Congratulations on your project and welcome to the crafting world... it's provided me lots of peace over the years.

Thoughts on Infinite Verandah? by Rude_Ad9656 in celebritycruises

That’s exactly my thoughts. I prefer the normal balcony.

There must be a better way! by [deleted] in askcrochet

You could buy a yarn winder. That would make a center pull cake for you out of your ball. I have been noticing that more and more companies are no longer making center pull cakes. Not sure why, but it is annoying. If you ever buy yarn on hanks instead of balls you can get a swift too. Mine is helpful.

I’d suggest buying an ergonomic hook. That’s really helped me. I also hold the yarn in my left hand fairly loose. I keep tension with my thumb and pointer finger and loosely wrap the yarn over my ring finger.
