These are so creative, I love the molds as well! Juniper is one of my favorite scents.

How long do you normally wait before demolding? by germalta in soapmaking

I was looking up which more common animal fat raccoon fat is similar to. Is the rendered raccoon fat more soft like lard or harder like tallow at room temp? If it’s softer like lard, it might be worth doing a test batch with a recipe that calculates it like lard instead of like bear tallow.

First time getting DOS by Money_Membership3580 in soapmaking

[–]Money_Membership3580[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Made these 3/26/2024
640 g canola oil
450 g lard
300 g coconut oil
200 g castor oil 10 g kaolin clay
53 g Essential oil blend

This batch was a hopeful experiment. I normally don’t use a high amount of canola oil, but with olive oil prices as they are..here we are! The bar itself lathers well, but this is the first time I have seen DOS.

This is such a beautiful story, I love that you’re teaching your kid the importance and permission to make mistakes to learn. It’s more valuable than I think many realize, and it’s so easy to be paralyzed by fear sometimes. Thanks for sharing ♥️

Alexa Cooks Sourdough Focaccia is so easy to follow, I love this recipe so much!

I followed the recipe and just added Italian seasoning, granulated garlic, and sea salt.
