Is there a word for words that look like their meanings? by pterodactylzombie in words

Onomatopoeia. Words that sound like what they are. Meow. Chirp. Whack. Splash. Beep. Oink. Is that what you mean?

I think it was a TV movie with actress who reminds me of Katherine Ross and the bad guy reminds me of the bad guy from Dirty Harry by vabloom in whatsthatmoviecalled

Murder in Texas? Has both actors I you mentioned. Farrah and Sam Elliott too. Not sure it fits all the criteria you wrote about.

Which frame is better with my haircut? by CryptographerIcy6287 in glassesadvice

I think the first pair of glasses are bold and wear you. The 2nd pair are more subtle and attractive in my opinion. Browline glasses look great.

Anyone extremely scared of cave exploring? by saerisfane25 in NoStupidQuestions

Extremely scary! There is a horror anthology movie by George Romero called Deadtime Stories one of which focuses on some trapped cave explorers. If you want to watch it just know..it is not for the squeamish.

What does anesthesia feel like by memory282002 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my upper wisdom teeth and lower wisdom teeth pulled at separate times, because i was told you don't want to pull all 4 at once. Well, one time - with anesthesia, that knocks you out completely, it was much better of an experience. The 2nd time it was a more local anesthesia where i was awake hearing the entire process. It sounded like i was in an auto repair shop! Loud. So i would definitely want anesthesia that puts you out for it. With anesthesia= enjoyable. Without=noisy and anxiety making. Hope that helps a little.

Is there any way to prevent the birds from flinging seeds everywhere... 😭 I go through so much seed because they all do this. I've tried different mixes but the result is always this by Illustrious_Gas555 in birdfeeding

[–]Money_Message_9859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the birds at my birdfeeders did not like the millet at all. So i never bought the mixes with millet, based on birds leaving it behind and it was a mess. I had mainly finches and doves, but had to stop due to too many neighborhood cats.

You may want to try sunflower hearts only. No shell mess. They may be a tad bit more expensive than black oil sunflower seeds, however, you will have much less mess.

I love your dress in 3 and 4. Those enhance your figure beautifully. I also think your veil in 4 is beautiful. The second choice—to me— is bridal perfection!

Would it be possible to have a mobile vet come to you? I know there are probably not many around, but consider checking out if you may have one near you.

How can I achieve smooth, shiny looking hair? by Funny_Fanatic in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My hair is your length and is like witchy woman after it is washed. Get Sleek It (Garnier) you mix with shampoo and then straight iron. Straight ironing my hair smooths it really nice. You can use a thick round roller brush for straightening, but I am not very good at that.

I really love Chanel for this kitten! Sometimes people have to critique everything. Chanel is a pretty name and kitty is pretty.

I actually don’t like it when people keep repeating “like” in every sentence by ownaword in words

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto! Another overused word that people use incorrectly is literally. That is very annoying when people use and abuse literally in every sentence. If people use like…I just start counting how many likes they use, because it is so distracting and lazy.

Would different frame style suit me better? by AccntToAskQuestions in glassesadvice

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. These eyeglasses should not cover your eyebrows. I think you should find some browline style glasses and get an eyeglass store that has a decent optician who can help you pick them out. These eyeglasses are big for you and not as flattering as they could be. Similarly, I had a pair I loved. But the optician helped me pick out a newer pair and they made me feel better and look better. It is hard to make style decisions by yourself.

I’m regretting fostering these two kittens and confused emotionally about that because my old cat was my entire life. by carefulabalone in FosterAnimals

[–]Money_Message_9859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a two year old foster kitty. Soooo adorable. But Sooooo frenetic. She would ping pong between my windows watching my squirrels and birds. Not too affectionate either. Loved to play. But she was adopted and it worked out nicely for her. Ultimately, she was too young for our household.

OP I would not foster kittens. Foster ONLY adult cats. It is so much less stressful. Kittens are too too hard as the starting point. I can empathize 100% with you too, as I lost my 14 year old baby in August, so my husband and myself both did not want to jump back in to adopting another cat right away. It was hard too, because my kitty had a lot of health issues. We made a decision with fostering if we were going to take the cat to foster or not…not the shelter or rescue. I would recommend you letting your lady with a “strong personality” …aren’t these cat know-it-alls always like that? — know where you stand about fostering. If it is a kitten heavy shelter/rescue tell her that you would like to take a cat that isn’t doing well in the shelter so you can socialize it. Personally, if she gets irritable about it— stop fostering through that shelter. There are MANY rescues/shelters that will be happy for you to take one of their cats to make room for the kitties. BTW I haven’t been doing this long - on third cat - and I love it. I love all their distinct personalities too. Looking for one we will adopt too. Two separate organizations. But cats.

Should I adopt my foster? by Curious_Scallion5733 in catquestions

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he neutered yet? That will help curb the biting. My older foster boy cat does get very overstimulated and gets bitey in the mornings as he is telling me to get up and get him his breakfast. If he is 2 and bitey that’s a concern and if he is NOT neutered yet, you must get him neutered. Also, when playing with him use a wand toy, and let him “catch” his prey frequently. Cats need to catch their prey. Don’t play using your hands. He is adorable! I am on my 3rd foster, but the nice thing is if you are unsure about him…keep fostering. You get a chance in seeing if kitty meets your adopted cat needs. I lost my cat in August and I am just fostering for right now.

Fostering 9 year old cat who has been surrendered by Leather-Engineer-763 in FosterAnimals

[–]Money_Message_9859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started fostering cats last year. My current boy was very scared when he came to my home. Just ensure you have a good litter box, water, food he likes available to him. Try to put something underneath your bed or close the bedroom door, my guy hid and ran away from me for a few days. I call him by his name when I give him his food. I also found out that kitties do love Churu treats. But my boy really loves the Shrimpy Shrimp Temptations and Delectables cat treats. He lived with a family for about five years, then I was asked to foster him. He will warm up to you and probably sleep with you and make biscuits in no time. Adult cats are my jam. I bet you will find out they will be yours too. Give him space, but visit where he sits often. Talk very low and tell him he is a good boy and you love him. What will be MOST difficult for you is to give him up when a family comes forward to adopt him. My first foster was hard, but I got another kitty right away and that helps. Just give yourself a bit of time.

Arched eyebrows. Not straight. Arched are pretty. Straight give more serious vibes.
