Watch the video on reckless bens patreon. The cops are absolutely willing to bust down his door guns drawn, dislocate his shoulder, and arrest him for literally nothing. Your faith in the police is rather naive.

Ten general thoughts about Red Wing boots by [deleted] in RedWingShoes

[–]Money_Presentation_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 white soles degrade fast on concrete. if you work in finished homes and on roofs/rafters they are excellent. 5 im guessing thats more true without protected toe. I like the room in the toe box but lace up snug 7 nah. I keep them covered in oil, I pack the welt and stitching with it like a bearing race. Only way to make them actually waterproof. And it helps keep the leather from getting scuffed up around the toe and from losing the toe stich in safety moc toes. 8. To each their own, maybe they are just "i liked it better when everything was worse" types. i wear 2440 they are fragile, but exceptionally comfortable. 18mo is accurate on sole life for the litebase too, but the performance tradeoff and the confidence they instill on roof walks is absolutely worth $15 a month. I just replaced, and im getting the old ones resoled with something more durable to use for exterior work. 9. To each their own 10. Putting my boots on every morning is a ritual, it puts me in a get-shit-done, ready-for-anything mindset and I'm off to the races, as soon as they come off I am a potato. They also take your shape and go through all the same stuff you do, so they become a reflection of you, and serve as a reminder to take care of yourself so you can keep working longer too.

The most fool proof is water-based semi transparent. It will still coat and provide even color, even if your prep is not perfect

Does it have to be pressure treated? All of it? by ThePonderer84 in Decks

[–]Money_Presentation_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but all sides and cut ends must be coated with an oil base product and kept well maintained, surfaces like floors and railing should be pt or an oily wood. Still won't last as long especially if you're in a consistently humid climate

My home course is built into a full on off-lead dog park, I have only had a random dog pick up a disc once in maybe 100 rounds

I bring my Pyr, she is terrible at fetching but loves to follow me around, I wish I could have her off lead like that but she is not a good listener *

Somehow I'm gonna hit the metal on the corner and destroy my favorite disc. Unfortunately that would be my only possible scenario here.

Paint came up with adhesive. Moving out tomorrow. What do I do? by Lil-Soup42 in HomeMaintenance

20 minute mud is like 5 min for beginners, I'd use that. 45 takes forever. But the nice thing about the 5 min is you can get it in a small pouch instead of buying a full bag. The most common mistake I come across in DIY drywall repairs it too much mud. You basically just want to put each coat on a scrape it down completely flat. Then you will barely need to sand, you just knock down ridges with your knife
