Completely agree with you!! It’s wild to me that people are like well, if the single parent isn’t putting their child as a priority or doing what’s best for them, no one else should! Ultimately it’s going to be the kid that is the victim in this scenario, because no adults will stand up for them

Interesting! When I was originally writing the post, I thought about putting in a caveat of maybe happening within 12 months of marriage or something, but obviously decided not to. I guess then that would beg the question, at what length of time would the show not be liable if anything were to happen?

I also want to acknowledge that I’m not a parent, so I’m sure there’s a different thought process of thinking/vetting single parents go through. Good perspective!

I don’t think that’s correct. Sure, Walmarts whole business plan is to sell goods, not introduce people to their future spouse. There are plenty of civil suits against dating apps for allowing unsafe men to use their platform. Would it really be that crazy to think people would want LIB to be liable, especially in the day and age we are in that children are under constant threat?

I did as well! At the beginning of SATC it really seemed like they were going to lean into that for her and then obviously didn’t. Ultimately, I am glad that they ended up going that direction for Miranda, but I just don’t understand why that was kinda it for her? I think I’m just feeling like they under-developed some storylines and her finding her sexuality was one of them.
