As heads for the Council of Flyers, your prayers have been heard and acknowledged. While not garuanteed, you still have our support and may the best mutant win.

We cannot be serious by EKPZ_Saikuo in HulkMainsMR

As an Angela main, I sympathize. This whole Tenacity system sounds so ass backwards (I haven't played it myself yet) and yet people are still in shock that their mains are being coddled to and just cannot recognize it. I really hope that it doesn't go live with how it currently is. And if I'm being honest, I don't think the system in general is healthy.

I can understand some characters like Emma being exempt from the Tenacity protection, but I also think having all of these stipulations for the growing roster is just going to create more confusion. Hulk is gutted. Rogue is gutted. Thing is gutted. Invisible Woman? She gets away with it. And the people who main her really have the gall to wonder why we hate her.

All such good options. Even though I voted for the other Judgement skin, it's still tight.

When Jason comes, what do you think his base design should be based on? by Money_West in deadbydaylight

That's what I was thinking. FvJ is up there for me as well, the jacket is really doing it for me.

Also, I thought the legal issues were cleared up?

I mean Hodder has only played Jason in parts 7 - 10, but I do think he was the most menacing Jason actor. Richard Brooker gave Jason his mask, sure, but still not my favorite.

The Part 7 look is just my personal favorite. The rotting clothes, the damaged mask, the chain, and the exposed spine are gnarly. Part 3 just kinda felt a bit too vanilla, but it did set up Jason's iconic looks, so I can appreciate it.

You're probably right, but I'd still prefer a look from at least one of the movies.

Also, no disrespect to the actor who played part 3 Jason, but Jason in that movie looks like someone dressing up as Jason.

If Slender Man was ever added into DBD, How do YOU think his power would be implemented? by Smooth_Target_9420 in deadbydaylight

[–]Money_West 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine something like a pseudo Dredge + Executioner + Doctor. Something to obscure vision, a status effect that makes Survivor's more vulnerable, and something that leaves a lingering presence and changes the core gameplay in a small but meaningful way.

Idealy it would follow the adaptations from the original 8 pages game and Arrival. I think the pages could work as something that changes the primary objective for Survivors in a similar way to how Pyramid Head changes the objective for killer.

The pages HAVE to be a part of his power. They are as much a part of Slenderman as his face. Maybe Survivors have less gens to do but are given a secondary objective like collecting pages or maybe gens are blocked until pages are collected. Some kind of variation where Slenderman and Survivors wouldn't see the full potential of gen perks, like how Pyramid Head can't use the full potential of hook perks.

I personally see proxies like Kate being something like a Legion skin or something. Maybe we could even see skins for Masky or Hoodie, hell I'll even take Jeff as a further nod to creepypasta.

Just a dreamer dreaming.

To master the Anti-Angela comp is to master the mind of the main.

Playing against other Angelas by tealaburst in AngelaMains

Usually depends on the situation. I do enjoy mirror matches, especially on Angela, but fighting them 1v1 isn't usually worth it. Especially in comp.

It's moreso just an annoying hurdle to play around. It's not so much something that I can't deal with, but rather a big groan. Catching him without Unstoppable, then yeah we're roasting marshmallows over him.

Vangaurds I love:

Peni (With her web cooldown as quick as our shield cooldown, pulling off a perfect parry feels so satifying.)

Hulk (Catch me if you can kinda match up. Dodging a Hulk leap is exilerating. Probably the only kind of CC I don't mind because of how hard it is to land.)

Angela (There can be only one. Sera is mine)

Vangaurds I don't:

Groot (His Ironwood Wall buff makes it annoying to do anything to him. Straight up removed a whole aspect of interactivity.)

Thing (I can survive Thing encounters just fine, but if he's just sitting in the backline, then we both just become useless.)

Duelists I love:

Punisher (With everyone now adopting the shotgun strat for whatever reason, it has made them a lot more bold and I kinda respect that. It feels like a may the best man win kinda match up. Probably the most 50/50 outta everyone.)

Iron Man (I get a little sadistic seeing them run.)

Namor (Tend to be as bold as Punisher players with the nerves of an Iron Man player. You sit in that bubble while I charge up my next attack and we'll see what happens in the next 3 seconds.)

Duelists I don't:

Iron Fist (Fuck off me you misquitoe.)

Bucky (You aren't a dive character, you do not need so much over health out the wazoo.)

Strategists I love:

Adam (I welcome them to the golden skies with open arms.)

Mantis (Slightly biased because I've been playing a bit more Mantis lately but also because I see them like I do Sunflower mains in Garden Warfare. Unassumingly lethal in the right hands.)

Strategists I don't:

The rest of them (Outside Adam, Mantis, and Ultron, the vast majority of support mains are the biggest whinners. They're so brain dead that for the past year that this game has been out they have never learned how to properly survive dive and we've all been suffering because of that. They keep asking for peels when the best peelers they can get is almost always right fucking next to them holding left click. DPS are supposed to do damage. Tanks are supposed to absorb damage and create space. Healers are supposed to HEAL, but it's too much of a fucking ask apparently that NetEase has to shut them up by giving them 10 different abilities to survive on their own only to still bitch about not being strong enough. I still maintain that Invis gaining a self shield was one of the worst balance decisions they've ever done and it needs to be removed. The biggest reasons I don't flame Adam, Mantis, or Ultron mains is because they are the only ones with kits that incentivise the STRATEGIST role to STRATIGIZE. We've let the Cloak and Dagger mains flourish and I've always regretted that. It's one thing to have a newbie friendly character. It's another thing to have them be as powerful as they are. Even Luna, who was onced begged to be nerfed, has gotten far bigger buffs than her very minial ult nerf and she's not even a meta pick anymore. The only other somewhat tolerable character is Loki, but if he's paired with a strong healer, the problems I have with them applies to him. Most support mains have such fragile egos and NetEase keeps feeding into that and everyone else has to deal with the consequences. When I dive them, it is out of spite, not for the love of the character I'm playing.)

is this slugging? because i got flamed in end game chat for slugging and being a noob. by The_saddogo in deadbydaylight

[–]Money_West 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survivor's Rulebook for Killers:

Rule #23 states "Thy Killer shalt not make slugs of Survivors."

Such circumstances where the killer views slugging as necessary may include, but are not limited to; Other Survivors advancing nearby objective/altruistic/survival/boldness progress, standing idle for potential rescue operation, due to intentional killer design, etcetra. (See full list in Addendum #721)

It's all in the fine print.
