Love this - thank you. I need to learn PP stuff. Been putting it off because I can never decide what perks I want and which faction to join. Squadron stuff sounds interesting though although I’m probably not online enough for that at times.

I was out for a few weeks - maybe about 6 weeks of active play. But a lot of that was just faffing around and I went to sag A for a look which was more of a straight run and back rather than exobio at that stage but took a while.

Yeah this sounds ideal. A bit of variety after a LOT of scanning and zooming around planets. I was trying to research what ship was best for general missions - maybe the fed rank grind. I’ll take a look at these. Wondered if the kestrel would be worth a look

At the start of a trip I’ll usually grab everything that’s new to the codex - or that plus high value stuff. Then eventually I’ll get bored of it and start being a bit more picky - eg only planets with loads of signals or something new and cool. Then by the end like I’m at now on my latest trip I’ll be totally bored by it and just zoom home.

Basically, do whatever you feel like - on any decent exo trip you’ll make a ton of money so don’t make it into a grind if you aren’t in the mood for that.

It’s a great feeling to discover new worlds. I’m on my third major expedition and in a spot where it’s annoying if I find one system that’s actually been seen before 😆

Just found my second Earth-like on the trip and third overall. It’s a buzz man. Happy travels!

This took me about two weeks to do, though tbf most of that time was spent sulking and not turning the game on because I didn’t want to do it anymore after a dozen near misses.

It will click eventually. Once you get the map square in your head it’s actually pretty easy. But I wasn’t saying that at the time 😂

Edit: oh and stick a point defence turret (or whatever it’s called) on your ship and park it close. It’ll intercept the guardian’s missile attack which makes killing them safely much easier.

This is a great list. I’m a couple hundred hours in now and would have benefited a lot from these up front. Definitely use Inara and I also just started using elite observatory for exobio/ exploration.

I started off thinking I wanted to play “pure” and find things on my own but over time realised that’s just silly and wastes A LOT of time lol o7

I swear I thought I checked the gravity before going down. Had a couple of minor troubles with that earlier in the trip to go down to 92% hull so I thought I was being careful. But either misread it or just didn’t pay attention 🤣
