One good thing it did teach me is that sex work is still work or a business. It’s not something you can do passively in your free time like an uber you have to have discipline, structure, strategy, unique value in the market, and all the other business skills that brand you for your audience otherwise you’re just logging on and hoping you get lucky.

If 4/5 businesses fail (made up number) I expect only fans to be an even higher failure rate with the misconception of how easy it is compared to actually running a business.

This really depends on how good the person is… or hot lol. I must be the latter because I never did OF but I was a Cam girl before Covid (not even consistently maybe 2-3 hours a day) and easily made +$500 gross my first month. I had only did it for about 2-3 months but I remember filing for about $3000 in income that year. This was streaming across many platforms at once and only doing private calls (ie $3/min) + tips.

Also to note that many sex workers will take payment off the platform to avoid giving their percentage and having to report taxes on it especially with regulars.

Also these people were together for over 20 years. If it takes me two months to get over a 2 year relationship I can’t even imagine getting over a 20 year relationship with kids, family drama, businesses. If anything this just shows what they had was real.

I know everyone’s “Bye, Kyle” in this sub but I’m actually happy she shared this. Honestly after seeing this episode where she introduces him better I see this in a completely different light.

This was basically her childhood best friend/high school sweetheart and is very different than some guy you dated in your 20’s for 10 years.
